Anyone else got any players heading to Russia? We have 3 at the moment, potentially 4. If the Irish sides qualify I'll imagine there will be a few from this division going.

Romain Saiss (Morocco) - qualified
Alfred N'Diaye (Senegal) - qualified
Ruben Neves (Portugal) - qualified
Matt Doherty (Ireland) - TBC

If the ROI qualify.

Greg Cunningham
Andy Boyle
Alan Browne
Daryl Horgan
Sean Maguire

All these have been involved in recent squads, not sure how many, if any would make the final squad.

Doubt engvall will be called up by Sweden to the WC if they qualify. Diedhiou has a chance but hasn't been involved in recent squads.

Judge and Egan would stand a good chance of going if Ireland get through, otherwise Dalsgaard, Vibe and Bjelland are all key members of the squad for Denmark.

Otherwise I don’t think we have anyone. Not sure if South Africa qualified, if they did then Mokotjo will go.

I think SA got eliminated yesterday by Senegal.

Tbf Senegal do have a lot of good strikers (Diouf, Mane, Sakho, Niang) so he'd have to have quite a good season to get in. Thought Gustav had been called up to the senior squad recently, doesn't look like he has.

Yeah their striker options are fantastic, Diedhiou will have to have a really good season to get in.

Engval started and scored for the u21s the other day

It's not that, it's more to do Wilder's philosophy giving into your cries of a hard brexit team without any of them "overpaid foreigners" in sight of your squad

I was only joking anyway I'm more than happy with our team and how were doing, there is 22 teams in this league who would happily swap places with us.

Josh Magennis if Northern Ireland qualify. OK, so we're League One, but that would just make his achievement all the more laudable. Go Josh..!!

Reza Ghoochannejhad played (and scored) for Iran in 2014. (I so loved it when Paul Merson had to pronounce his surname on Soccer Saturday, one week.)

I think it is only Luongo for us if Australia qualify. Be interesting to see how he does.

Just looks like Jon Dadi Bodvarsson (Iceland). No-one else is even close.

Nice to actually keep our squad together for once. I remember a couple of years ago when there was Euros, Copa America and U21s tournament all in the same Summer - we had hardly any plays who got a full Summer off.

Captain Morsy will be there with Egypt. Been a squad player since getting called up but started the last friendly with Elneny in central midfield, so must have a chance of featuring in Russia.

Hope so, a player from Wolverhampton making the World Cup would be nice.

Bjelland, Vibe and Dalsgaard will all be going then, though both Bjelland and Vibe are out of contract so won't really be *our* players.

Love the confused Chelsea fans who couldn't understand Bjelland starting ahead of Christiansen.

Would you be arsed about losing Vibe? If Reid keeps doing what he's doing he'll be off in the summer for big money, I'd have Vibe in as a replacement.

Yes and no. Like him as a player, and he’s certainly had some good times with us, but I think to get promoted we need someone else in that role up front, hoping that is Maupay.

I’d give him another year’s contract but he’s not a long term solution, and in our model that probably means we should move on.

I'd take a punt on Vibe too but imagine he's earning more at Brentford than we would offer.

Suppose it doesn't really matter if he's out of contract though, unless he's inundated with offers.

Think you guys have a larger wage bill than us, might be wrong, but they are at worst similar.

He's on £9k a week with us IIRC, one of our highest earners.

Not sure if we will have anyone on that now Beckford and Lindegaard have gone but won't be far off, maybe Pearson on his new contract.

Our wage bills probably aren't poles apart but I always thought you pushed the boat out for select players, surely Canos is on over £10k a week?

I'd be surprised if our wage bill is larger than yours but it's impossible to know for sure.

Our wage budget is pretty rigid, one of the reasons we lost Jota, wanted to keep him, but can't break the budget just for him. £10k is the maximum we pay at the moment (and I thought that was just Bjelland on that wage level).

Not sure what Canos would be on, but I would guess around £8k, got quite a few players around that level (Judge for example).

That's it. We'd have a few Irish going but they didn't qualify, Kodjia but Cote D'Ivroie didn't qualify, Taylor Wales, etc.

I was told Pearsons new contract is £6k a week before bonuses etc, not sure how true that is but it wont be a million miles off I wouldn't think.

I'd be suprised too if our wage bill was higher than Brentfords, we're a bottom 3 budget in this league.
