Chelsea haven't trained all week, leaving only Friday, Saturday and the day of the game for preparation.

A question, how are Chelsea going to approach their remaining games? Give youth a chance *chortles*, or stick to the same team to keep to keep the team glued ready for pre-season and next season?

Also as Liverpool are built on history and tradition, the guard of honour will be happening before kick-off?

Mourinho, forever thinking ahead, will likely prefer Liverpool to finish fourth than Manchester United since he will see Manchester United as more likely to be title contenders next season. It will be interesting to see how he approaches this match. Personally, I hope he sets his team out as he did against Everton early in the season and we get a 10 goal match. If Liverpool win this, and Arsenal beat United at Old Trafford next week, things look nervy for Van Gaal.

Maybe, but if he sees Utd as cuntenders then he'd probably want them in the CL so they have more big games to play.

Which is a valid point, but can United compete with Chelsea to sign a Bale or Pogba or Varane if they don't have Champions League football? Can they comply with FFP and still spend £150m this summer without the CL revenues which greatly increase next season?

They won't, Liverpool can't score just now, and against the best defense in the league? No chance.

Of course we'll lose, anything else would be an upset. There's no way we're catching United.

Liverpool at 15/2 to finish 4th. I'm going to have a punt. United will lose/draw at Palace and then to Arsenal. Then they play at Hull who could be fighting for their lives. If Brendan can't capitalize, he should resign. Manchester United will struggle to achieve 70 points. Arsenal finished 4th with 79 last season.

2-0 Chelsea. Don't think Jose will let his hair down yet, certainly not against Liverpool.

Will be nice to see Jose play the kids to keep the race for top 4 open.
The question is, will Chelsea be fined by the FA if they rest most of their big men?

Which kids would they be then?
Can only imagine Zouma gets more regular footy from here on out. Cuadrado, Luis, Mikel and Ramires I imagine will see more game time with Drogba kept in for a send off and Cech possibly given some starts. Brown might get a look in from the bench, and 'Ball' Ake possibly, but it's not like the Chelsea squad has a load of youth players in it ready to play. Most of those are out on loan somewhere.

Home win all over this. Although the united fans getting worried about Jose playing kids is funny.

Jose Mourinho says Steven Gerrard made him 'better manager'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/32662464
"I am very sad this is the last time I will face him."
"He's done an amazing career with his people. He refused to play in other big clubs, other big leagues, to play only for Liverpool and this is a feeling that stays together."

Kind words from the boss. Not sure our fans will be as nice.

All I ask for is Gerrard being in the starting 11....will be hilarious seeing him give us a guard of honour.

Why would it be hilarious?

not my own work JJ but this is how one lad put it :D

Not been the best couple of years has it for him, costs them the title, is at fault for England going out of the world cup (strangely never mentioned is his masterclass against Uruguay) get battered in his last game at Old Trafford, knocked out in the group stages and dropped at Madrid in his last season in the competition, gets sent off within a minute in his last game at anfield against us and now has to applaud the club onto the pitch who he could have won the lot with.

Loftus-Cheek posted 'biggest day of my life so far' on his facebook, so I'm guessing that means he's starting. I hope Solanke gets a start up top as well, and Ake to start in left back or maybe holding midfield.

I'm hearing only RLC will start from our youth boys.

I'd prefer to stick a strong side out today and let the youth boys play vs Sunderland.

Oh and Jim Jams if you don't realise why it will hilarious then there's no point telling you....surely it's pretty obvious?

I just can't imagine that you'll be in fits of hysterics when you see it. Mildly amusing, ok. Hilarious? Bit of a stretch. Like a Stretch Armstrong bit of a stretch.

I actually feel sorry for him a tiny little bit. Most of the amusement will be aimed towards the 3000 gimps who made their way down here.

I understand that the reds are none too enamerred with providing a guard of honour today. I'm sure they'll get over it.
