Could be an interesting game. We both have strong attacks in terms of chance creation but middling in terms of actually putting said chances away. We lack an in-form goalscorer, Cheltenham have Mo Eisa, so presumably are overly reliant on him and struggle defensively.

I'll be hoping for a win, we have a decent record against Cheltenham and I think nullifying a threat that comes mostly through a single striker should be easier for our experienced defence than dealing with a threat that comes from a few locations.

Cheltenham were very poor at Brunton Park earlier this season, but have always been fairly decent on home soil since they returned to the league.

A win would be nice just to keep our slim hopes of a late playoff push alive, and add a little onto the gate for the Lincoln game which would then be quite a big game.

1-0 Cole Stockton late winner.

That team Curle has picked. Fuck knows what he’s thinking! I doubt the players even know.

4 centre backs, 1 right back, 2 defensive midfielders, 1 attacking midfielder and 2 big lump strikers.

Can see defeat here, a backs to the wall draw at best.

It’s a good job our playoff hopes are already over or I’d be fucking boiling.

Sounds like we won hella ugly there, but with that starting line up that might have been the plan. Win ugly away and conserve energy for Monday at home rather than going hell for leather today and being still knackered on Monday.

The substitutions sound like they changed things in our favour and in the end we could have had more. I heard a lot of Cheltenham around our box, I didn't actually hear much of them actually threatening the goal.

We went to shit after you scored and you could've had a couple more.

That's fairly accurate overall, we had pretty much all the play without creating too much (although we did miss a couple of sitters first half) and Carlisle didn't have a sniff until the penalty.

Don't know exactly what was happening after the final whistle but saw a Carlisle player celebrating in front of our fans and a load of handbags from the players - anyone know what caused that?

That team selection was disgraceful and we were lucky not to get hammered.

Things changed when the subs came on but why not start the match like that?

We will not get away with tactical fuckwittery like that on Monday against Lincoln. But good news is it extends the unbeaten run, if we can keep this going and go into next season off the back of a good run of results hopefully we won’t be playing catch up again.

No, but the fans in question were just in front of the commentators so I heard it all going off after the game, just couldn't work out what was said but the commentators have said they'll post photos and updates of what they saw.

Well Gary Johnson hasn't exactly taken defeat on the chin
Keith Curle has come out of the Neil Warnock school and they do well at what they do, unless a referee clamps down on it.

Every time we got in and looked dangerous, it’s a foul against us.

We make one foul on the halfway line and it’s a booking. Normal fouls you don’t book people.

If you have got in and got past you and then they bring you down, surely it’s got to be a booking, in which case they’d probably have been down to nine men, or less.

I’d never ever say a referee is biased as I don’t think they are, but I don’t think he understood their tactics and how they break the game up.

it would have been nice to get the penalty as we deserved something, but obviously the way the game went and the way the ref reffed it we probably had no chance of getting it.

If they can’t take the ball off you they foul you and they know they are pretty big to deal with set plays.

Another referee on the day maybe would have made the result a bit different, but I can’t keep moaning about that.

Sounds like he's been playing the 1980's Wimbledon team.

Good win today, our away record has been superb this season, plenty of gritty performances to earn the 3 points. A bit of excitement for the Lincoln game now, win that then who knows, but it’s a big if. Swindon follows that so a couple of six-pointers which could propel us into a very decent position with 4/5 games to go.

Sounds like he's been playing the 1980's Wimbledon team.

Carlisle were rough and ready and were lucky to end with 11 men on the pitch after the late challenge on Joe Morrell by an already booked player. There were other bookings given fir much less. I wouldn't call them dirty as such, trey just knew how to break up play.

I've seen a few mentions now of us possibly getting a pen, but I genuinely don't recall an incident. Dawson went down easy once, but that was never a pen in a million years.

Ultimately, Carlisle's subs improved their team and ours hindered us. No qualms with the result,
