We come into this in good form and well rested after last weekends game Vs Carlisle was called off. I'm expecting a much tougher game than the one early in the season at Gresty Rd. Sol seems to have Macc fighting now and has made alot of signings.

I'm expecting atleast 1500 railwaymen traveling to East Cheshire from South Cheshire, so should be a decent atmosphere, it will no doubt bring with a few trouble makers but games Vs Macc usually pass without much bother.

Macclesfield 1-2 Crewe (Biotti, Kirk, Porter) 3,766 (1500 Crewe)

Seems a bad time to be playing Crewe. No idea what sort of team we'll put out with all these new signings. Lloyd back from injury and came on 2nd half against Mansfield, but Evans looked like he picked up another knock. Expect we're still without Smith, Pearson, Durrell and Stephens through injury, and also don't expect Whitaker to feature.

Not saying he hasn't had a positive effect but Campbell's points per game in the league only slightly above what we had in the post-Yates interim period (lose this and it'll be worse). Based on last Saturday I hope we've worked on our finishing...

Repeating what I’ve said every week recently, just waiting for us to have a stinker.

Macclesfield always give us a hard time at their place. Even when we were unstoppable in our charge for the play offs under Davis I remember us being lucky not to lose (I think it was a case of Nick Powell deciding we wouldn’t be losing?). Big optimistic followings are always a worry too.

It’s a proper away day though. It’s everything great about lower league football and the way we’ve been playing recently, can’t help but be confident.

We're certainly going to come back down to earth with a bump at some point. This is Crewe Alexandra after all. Just hope it's not here. We've had some poor results at Macc after taking decent followings so surely were due a good win.

Saw Smith was running flat out in training this week on his Instagram, but was also only with Evans and Grimes so maybe not match ready yet.

Some Macc players still haven't been paid last month's wages, I can't imagine that will be great for morale.

Only a few of the 1500 tickets we've been sent left, they should sell out in the morning. I presume the other 400 will be available on the day.

Just 2 players not been paid apparently. We signed so many random ones last month I'd be surprised if we could remember them all.

Sold out the 1500, only 200 left on the gate which will be more or less sold I reckon. We. Are. Massive.

I wonder if they will let anymore than 1700 on, as I think the 200 will sell very quick. I know Oldham and Vale both had 1900 so not sure why they are only letting us have 1700.

I think I remember some Oldham fans complaining about over crowding so that may play a factor. But fans turning up without tickets are trying there luck in home ends would surely cause more problems.

Sure we used to get over 2000 also before they went down. That said one time they didn't have much choice as we'd taken 900 under Glover and the next season was pay on the day and fans were queuing right the stadium! One of the first away days under Micky.

We haven't got space for more than 1900 now. There used to be the option of extending the away end up to the tunnel but we can't do that anymore because there wouldn't be enough toilets I believe. Anyway 1900 should be fine for tomorrow.

No idea what our team will be as I know very little about the quality of our new signings. Ntambwe and Demetriou have the potential to improve the team but who knows if they'll even play. Hopefully Martis is alright because we could do with a decent winger.

I'm so sure it will. Plenty have been ringing Macc ticket office today to book some of the 200 pay on the day tickets. I can easily see a few hundred coming to pay on the door.

In that case I'm not sure why it's not all ticket for away fans. Don't see much point in us holding back 200 tickets if they would have all sold out in advance anyway. But for those who don't get in, there'll be plenty of space in the home end if you don't mind going incognito.

Not convinced Ntambwe has much quality to offer based on Mansfield, but i guess at least he's not Maycock? Martis is more intriguing personally (in for Marsh).

If i was picking I'd go for Martis-Evans-Rose-Lloyd, with Wilson + ST (Biabi?), or Cole as #10 and 4231.

Agreed about Ntambwe - I'd rather not start him at the moment but at least he offers something a bit different I guess.

Listening to Sol's interview today, he doesn't sound too keen on chucking too many new players into the team, however he says there are one or two that will play straight away - hopefully Martis if he's any good. I guess a lot will depend on whether Lloyd and Evans are fit to start.

Harry Smith will be back in the squad tomorrow as well which is great news.

Going in hope more than expectation. Terrible record at Macc, after we got done by Chester in 1990 I was never going again. Tried my luck 2011 (I think) and lost 4-1. Not been since, but have tickets and coach booked for Saturday.

The cynic in me has a horrible feeling the players are going to underestimate Macclesfield tomorrow like they did with Morecambe last month and we were very lucky to draw with a very limited Morecambe side.

Hopefully that bumper away crowd tomorrow will remind the players of their responsibilities to deliver a result in this game. Really looking forward to it!

Fairly confident we’re not going to turn up tomorrow and that Macc will play us off the park. A good day on the ale surrounded by 1.5k+ Alex compadres is enough for me though.

3-0 Macc and 300 Crewe fans stuck outside the ground resulting in a Forest Green esque home end takeover.

Yeah, I'm also joining the pessimistic train on this one. Just screams a no-show defeat to nil. But then I've been calling things wrong for the last month. Hopefully this proves me wrong again.

We really really need to win this today, can't see it though. Score draw more likely.

Good to see Smith back on the bench. Ntambwe will get booked in first 15 mins, rather have Evans starting centrally. Also rather Lloyd starting than Arthur coming straight back in; no injury for Marsh so guess he's dropped for his miss last week!

2 minutes in and the 'to nil' part of my predication is already out the window. Be nice if Bowery could heat up between now and the end of the season.

We've been poor and Campbell's selection is a large contributing factor to that. O'hara has kept us in it with 3 top drawer saves. Thought the ref had given the dive for the pen.

I can't work out what Campbell is trying with this selection and game plan.

Good god, not sure how to feel after a game like that. Seems we're whinging about the first 2 Macc goals, the way it's described, sounds like a push on Ray for the first and then Garratt for the 2nd. I've seen us do this before when there was nothing in it though, so i'm skeptikal. Will wait for the highlights. Pleased that the performance for the most part sounds good, we just aren't clinical enough upfront, which sounds daft I know. But it seems like we once again had enough chances to put the game to bed and the inability to do so allowed Macc to equalise.

Hopefully the late 3rd we scored, not the late 3rd we conceded, is what the players take into the next few games, all of which are very tricky.

Bit of a thriller that. Infuriating and brilliant in equal measure.

Crewe should have been out of sight at half time but thankfully Sol sorted his tactics out and we were good value for the draw based on that second half. The team that ended today's game should be our starting 11 next week.

While our goals weren't attractive to watch, I didn't think they we're fouls but the highlights may well prove me wrong.
