With Chesterfield’s home form vs our recent away form, everything points to an away win.

Of course being a Carlisle supporter I well know not to take anything like that for granted and would not be surprised one bit to see Chesterfield beat us. They may be bottom of the league, but we never seem to win against the bottom team. Like Newport away last season, us top and unbeaten in 20 games, them bottom of the football league... 2-0 to Newport. The fact they are bottom, and on paper have better players than their position suggests does worry me.

I am going to this match, first visit to Chesterfield. I nearly went 5 years ago but I got absolutely wrecked at a wedding the night before, woke up in a puddle of spew and missed my train. Lucky escape though because Chesterfield absolutely smashed us 4-1.

Hopefully I make it this time, but have a feeling Chesterfield will score first, and we’ll probably only be capable of scoring 1 at the most. So 1-1 I think it will finish.

Jack will definitely have them up for it after feeling as though we should have won last time out. And Carlisle is a potable game for sure. I know we're rubbish, but I can't escape the feeling we will start to pick up results like Vale soon. We're playing better under Jack, it's just stupid things and unlucky things causing goals against

We're getting better, slowly so hopefully this will continue. I'm going to make one back from Leeds for this i've decided. Not seen us win since December 2016 so maybe I shouldn't but feeling a bit more positive about us than I was a few weeks back.

Carlisle usually travel fairly well, reckon many will come down?

Well we only beat teams who begin with C (apart from Coventry) so that bodes well, but as HG says it would be just like us to lose to the bottom team especially since they're looking for a win to kick-start their season under their new manager. The thing with being poor at home and good away is you're always left wondering if and when you'll start taking your home form on the road with you, or start bringing your away form back home. We've seen we have the capacity to be both good and bad and at some point you feel it will stop mattering so much whether we're home or away. I remember Exeter last season being the same, and they eventually recreated their away form at home where they had only scored one all season until quite late on.

This'll probably be another gritty 1-0 on the road, which I'll definitely take. We look much more resolute since Clint Hill arrived, especially in away games when there's less pressure on us to attack.

Early days I know but the way it started I can’t see us scoring with this lineup

We deserve this. Not because Chesterfield have battered us or anything, but we fully deserve it for the total negative approach from Curle, we have nothing up front. Absolutely no chance of scoring with this 11

You utter fucking fucktard Curle. You fucking retarded fucking c***!

Utter fucking shite. Bottom of the league away and play like you’re a Sunday league team at the etihad. You dosile fucking fucknugget.

Doesn't sound like we were very good today. James Phillips on bbcrc has just commented that Chesterfield could have run away with it. Question marks though over the free kick they scored from.

I lost it at half time as you see above, but that was so bad today. Pisses me off when you spend hard earned money on that shite served up in that first half. We got away with a point when it should have been 0 points. At 2-1 we were well and truly off the hook, then sat back and should have lost.

No way did we deserve anything from that game. A woeful performance.

After that I’m 100% Curle out. Unacceptable approach, tactics and performance

Well, I don't know if that's a corner turned in terms of conceding, going down then going on to get something out of the game. A few weeks ago we'd have lost that. It still feels like another game that's got away though, we could have had 9 points from the last 3 games..

6 points above above the drop.

I’m not saying we’re doomed but we looked every inch relegation material today.

Curle absolutel has to go after that shite today

Should have won I agree with the Carlisle fan. We had a daft 15 minutes other than that we were comfortable and had chances to win it, how those 2 near the end stayed out I’ll mever know! Much much better from us, look fitter, organised and generally a better side. Still lots to do but happy with that today even if we didn’t get the result we deserved
