Shrewsbury have recently announced their club accounts for the year and for our relegation season we lost £280,000, down from £385,000 the year before. Just shows how important cup runs can be, we went out early on in all 3 competitions in both seasons.

I think it shows 2 things, 1) how tough we found L1 in our 2 years up there and 2) how badly we spent the money we did have (the team last year was terrible!)
Good news is we still have over a million in the bank and are using our cash reserves to cancel out the losses. This obviously isn't sustainable in the long term but we're increasing our off the pitch income and we've also got Taylor's 300k (400-100 for Barnett). We also had a very good carling cup run which would have brought in a fair bit of cash.
The club have basically stated we've invested in our future with the players we have and their sell on potential (woods, Goldson etc).
Wondering how other teams accounts look?
