Sheff Utd have completely sold out their allocation of 1400 tickets so providing Fleetwood fans turn up in descent numbers could be our biggest home gate of the season. A treat in store for everybody -Alfie Boe is coming along to sing a song ( or two ) -could be the highlight of the match for Fleetwood as we face a team in top form. Providing we dont give away another penalty ( 3 in the last 2 matches ) we might scrape a draw, 1-1

We've won 5 and drawn 1 in our last 6 matches.

Obviously we're now playing with confidence but we haven't been great in any match to date. The good news for Blades is that Chris Wilder has made us consistent regards attitude, approach and organisation. We look a very solid side but should improve as the season progresses.

Finally we are playing like a TEAM and have a good team spirit (big thanks to the manager Chris Wilder). The other big change is that we now have a new excellent goalie and some new big solid reliable no nonsense centre backs.

Fleetwood have lost their last 3, so are due a result.

Logic suggests a 1-1 draw.

But our unbeaten run will come to an end sooner or later. Things are running too smoothly down at Bramall Lane so we know something bad will happen soon to throw a spanner in the works.

So I have a feeling it could be Fleetwood 2 Blades 1,
hope I'm wrong but I'd be satisfied with a draw.

Whilst I tend to agree with what you have said, I still can't help thinking;

What has the world come to when Sheffield Utd would be happy with a draw against Fleetwood?

I certainly wouldn't be happy with a draw. No disrespect to Fleetwood but if we wanna win the league this is a very winnable game. I'm missing it as in magaluf always love a trip to Blackpool too. Should be interesting with 5500 villa at Preston pretty sure a few hundred will be in Blackpool.

Ive supported United for over 40 years and trust me.

Away to a club like Fleetwood is exactly the type of fixture we lose. It would be so typical of United especially after such a fantastic run.

However as I've said Wilder seems to have drilled it into the players about the right mental approach. We have to respect Fleetwood but not too much respect and should at least match you for effort.

Wilder seems to have this policy that if you play well then you stay in the team, meaning no player can afford to relax and be complacent.

Amusingly Wooly Woolford has been trash talking in the build up, our chances are slim enough without his intervention. Hes only started when others are injured but my gut tells me Roslers going to bung him in against his former team. Hope Im wrong.

We are going to need a massive improvement and a return to early season form to get anything here. Feel Rosler needs to bin some familiar faces and shake it up a bit tomorrow, but suspect he will play it safe and condemn us to defeat.

After a bright start we are slowly sinking down the table, its a game Sheffield United should be winning really, we know that, take a draw now.

I listened to the whole match live and it didn't sound a fair result to me.

Our commentator Keith Edwards is normally critical of United but even he said it could have been a 5-1 win for the Blades . Although I remember a break away attack in the 2nd half when you caught us in the counter and our keeper had to pull off a good save.

A minute before the equaliser he said that Sheff Utd had lost but it was just one of those games that we dominated but the ball wouldn't go in the net. He said even a draw could have been dissapointing based on the good performance.

You can't legislate for results but at least the performance was good again showing effort and desire, so no complaints from me and it bodes well for the rest of the season.

Our MOM was Neal our goalie which tells its own tale.still it was a cracking game of football and while the Sheffield dominated for long periods some our our counter attacking football was excellent and Blades goalie certainly had to be on his toes
I felt taking Long off with 20 minutes or so to go and bringing on a defender handed the initiative to United and we invited non stop attacking football which was always coming down the left.
You would have taken a draw before the match but to concede in last last b....minute of extra time, in the words of our manager shitenehausen !!

It was like the Alamo but still gutting to lose a goal so late even if it was the least Sheffield deserved.

We had a few bits on the break but a more one sided game you wouldnt see in fairness.

How's Woolford been, and what did he say?

How's Woolford been, and what did he say?

Nothing that serious.

He was interviewed about his time at Sheff Utd last season.

He said something that as there was a new manager set to take over he worked really hard over the Summer to get really fit and to fight for a place in the new team for this season.

Apparently the new manager Chris Wilder had been in charge at the club only 2 days and told him he wasn't wanted and would be placed on the transfer list and he was asked to train away from the 1st team with reserves. He says he wasn't given a chance and thinks it's strange and unfair that he was released so quickly.

What he might not be aware of is that Chris Wilder is a Sheff Utd fan, still lived in the city whilst manager of Northampton and he said he already knows our squad because he attended a few matches last season and kept aware of news and events. Hence he knows that last season Woolford vastly underperformed and struggled badly.

He also put Paul Coutts (another poor performer) on the transfer list during the Summer but he impressed so much in training that he forced his way into the team and has been an ever present since. Coutts has always been talented but was lazy and seemed unfit. This season he's like a totally different player, really impressive and a real quality performer at league 1 level.
