Relatively short trip for us on Saturday, resurgent Cambridge the hosts. Before Saturdays win against Carlisle the mood around Sixfields was apathetic but a dominant second half performance and three goals makes everything look a little brighter.

Not sure many will travel still, 400 sold as of this morning which is poor but with 5 days to go and POTD it could pick up.

Fancy a hard fought draw and a decent reception for Calderwood.

With 4 games out the next 6 away I feel we need to win this, calderwood has stopped the rot somewhat and things seem to be a bit more positive.

I’m going for a hard fought 2-1 win.

Form and past record (especially at home) suggests room for optimism. Despite being at County last saturday (or perhaps because, in light of the second half) I'll be surprised if we win and pleased with another point towards survival.

All the budding youngsters, apart from Darling, have been sent out on loan, so there's room for a couple of incoming on the bench but I don't expect anything before next week. O'Neil and Lambe are still injured. No major reason to change last week's lineup or first half approach, even though we're at home. We still look thin on striking options that might actually put the ball in the net and last the distance.

Forde
Halliday, Taylor, Taft, Carroll
Amoo, Deegan, Maris, Brown
Ibehre, Hepburn-Murphy

Subs: Mitov, Darling, John, Lewis, Osadebe, Dunk, Azeez

1 - 1 with Rushian H-M scoring on his home debut. Expect a few tasty challenges and a bit of a dour battle.

Our recent record against Cambridge is pretty dire, cant remember the last time we beat them.
We seem to be draw masters recently and suspect that wont change, a dour 1-1.

I'm quietly optimistic about getting another win tomorrow, if only for the fact that we tend to play much better at The Abbey than on our travels. It's true that we didn't have a single shot on target during the second half at County, bar that disallowed Jabo goal for offside of course, but it's not hard to see why Calderwood was cautious after taking the lead as his first two away games were an appalling 3 nil loss up at Morecambe and that humiliating 6 nil loss at MK on NYD. Do I like that defensive set up? Absolutely not but its all well and good when it works (like in that 2 nil win over Swindon at the CG).

I would keep the same starting eleven as at Notts but I like what Lewis brings to the side, though starting him means either Russian or Jabo will have to drop out and I don't think that's a good idea.

None really but if you can't organise your day around a visit to King Street or a village stop off, you might want to try The Wrestlers (if open to away fans) or the Corner House. Beer is fine but not ideal for an away day. Come early and head into town or sample the joys of Histon.

We're not much better than Sixfields for visiting fans - where I usually head for Duston

If coming to our place by train (unlikely for Northampton fans) you can plan an epic pub crawl to the ground via a number of old man real ale boozers in the Mill Road area.

Otherwise, get here early and do as Alan suggests.

You should be allowed in our supporters club at the ground (£2 entry but cheap beer and some warm grub), but we do occasionally close this to away fans.

Battered second half and Stevie Wonder saw their winner coming. Our young midfield pair were overrun second half, combined age of 35, and Curles formation was baffling. Also baffling was why he took Morais off. Hands tied to an extent with injuries but if that’s the best he can come up with then that is a worry

Been under the weather all week and missed it today - gutted as it sounds like a spectacular win with a true “mental” at the end. Massive win for us.

Disappointing but not unexpected with our youthful midfield and bench.
Was like the Alamo in the second half, could have and probably should have been a few more...
