After the sting of Saturday I can understand why Town fans are a bit reluctant to talk about this one! Normally you would say its good to get back on the horse as soon as possible after a loss like that, and we could with a win regain top spot for a time, but in this case im not so sure. The players looks shell shocked after the game on Saturday to me, and mentally i think it was a bitter pill to swallow. Will be very interesting to see if there is a reaction, we have normally bounced back from defeat this season but this one felt different.
In terms of how we set up, despite the loss Im not sure there is much that needs changing. We played well and in hindsight were very unfortunate to lose the game. But depends how they have reacted in training. Im also tempted by the idea of getting Cornick on from the start and am intrigued about us perhaps going away from the diamond to the 433 with Cornick starting that we played early on in the season that sort of kick started us on our way this season.
Coventry deservedly beat us in convincing fashion in the reverse fixture and are really not the sort of side you'd be looking to play in this scenario and I am not confident of a result to be honest. In particular whenever we play Doyle in the Coventry midfield, he always massively impresses me and has taught our midfield a bit of a lesson on recent occasions when we have come up against his sides. Will be a key battle once again you feel.
Im not particularly confident I must say, but after Saturdays outrageously missed handball we are surely due a dodgy refereeing decision to help us on our way?! We can but hope.
