Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying the season so far. FYI the National League forum isn't so bad, which has greatly softened the blow of non league football.

Just a quick question to any Crawley fans on here; what is happening with Coxy? At our Meet the Manager meeting this week, it was implied that we have made an inquiry, and that he is currently on 'big' money at Crawley, so why on earth isn't he starting?

You're bottom of the league with 0 points, and have Dean Cox who, on his day, is the best player in the league. Even a not-quite-fully-fit Cox is a very good winger for a bottom of the half team - so why has he fallen out of favour?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Don't know what's going on but Cox was sat in the stand for the game against Cambridge and was asked if he was injured. He said "no".

He was sub in the first game of the season against Port Vale and when he came on he was buzzing around trying hard to make things happen, putting the effort in, so he hasn't been dropped for not trying.

At the moment we have three players who wish to play on the left wing. I'm presuming Harry Kewell prefers the other two. Strange thing is we are playing with a big lump up front who has not been getting much in the way of decent crosses. If only we had someone who could provide them...er!

Hi Casey,

I heard its financial reasons why your club aren't playing him. Apparently he is on a big contract at the moment in terms of wages.

Steve Davis has also said he's been trying to sign him at a fans forum on Tuesday.

Rumours this evening indicate that Martin Ling will have the final say on whether he comes back or not, it seems our owners are happy to try and get him back on board.

We shall see, I'll be amazed if he's still at Crawley come the end of Thursday.

Re title, there are 2.
I don't know what's going on either.
If he's not in the squad today then I agree he'll be off.

Looks like he is staying put, not suprising he starts and you win!

Apparently our director of football Martin Ling decided against it. Not sure how far anything got in terms of a deal.

Yeah, Cox plays and we win but we changed the style of play around too. We dropped the big lump up front and went with the rawness and mobility of Camara. This had the side effect of making Cox's excellent crossing redundant as Camara was never going to win many headers.
