top of the league Plymouth come to town. We are missing out two strikers Lowe and Dagnall so have little to no chance of getting anything out of this, not sure why I'm going this to be honest.

Crewe 1-3 Plymouth (Jones for us) 4,688 (1188 pilgrims)

Although we are top, not convinced we are playing the best in the league. We are grinding out the victories which is good, but we do not seem to play well for long enough periods to get lots of goals. We are also just beginning to get a few more injuries than I'd like. While we have a better squad this year, when this happened last year our form stuttered. I'd be happy with a draw, but it always depends on how you play Carey. If he is on form we win, if you nullify him, we have fewer options.

Davis thought it was more important to play our best striker (and 38 year old) Ryan Lowe in a joke competition on Tuesday than us to stand any chance tomorrow. He's such a knob.

Mind you, if we do end up putting in a convincing performance (and maybe a win), we may just somehow shithouse a promotion/play-off push this season.

Well Carey played this week in said "competition" because we did not want to pay a fine. We did however have a player sent off on debut (like his brother did two years ago) and our reserve full back who was voted Sky player of the month last week got injured too. Hopefully he's okay, but goes to show what a joke it is. Our opponents, Swansea, could play who they want, and used it as a means to get a few first teamers fit, and yet we could not bring in our youth. Crazy.

We have just had our 3rd defeat of the season so anything can happen in this game. I think this could be a loss

I've had a funny feeling about this one for a while. We can't win every game. Hopefully I'm proved wrong! 7 away wins on the bounce I think it would mean!

Big chance today for Plymouth to run away with it after our slip up.

GOAL: Crewe 1 - 2 Argyle

Another goal notched up for Carey. Given bags of space 10 yards out

A club record if we win this

Even at this early stage of the season Plymouth would have to go some to blow promotion you feel (on current form)

Brilliant result for us, but listening to a large chunk on the game, did not sound like we are the form side in terms of playing. Luke saved a penalty and then a screamer almost went in a minute later for Crewe, we could easily have been 3-0 down.

However, on the plus side we do score a fair few proportionately of our goals at the end of the game suggesting our fitness is the difference this year from last.

Got lucky with the penalty save although the shot clipped the top of the bar and went over. Wasn't a whack against the bar, just brushed it. Second half we showed why we are top of the league and 14 unbeaten.

We were decent 1st half and should have been comfortably ahead. 2nd half we stopped passing the ball and Argyle improved, still think we probably merited a draw on the balance of play. I think with Lowe and Dagnall and our full backs not being injured we would have won today. Still despite losing we've still managed to move up to 6th, and we only have 1 win in 13 games now which is worrying.

Also great numbers from Argyle, more than they ever brought as a championship club, 1100 odd I think it was.

I said before Cooper took the penalty that it'd win or lose us the game, we're that mentally weak and utterly predictable. Completely on top before the penalty then offered absolutely nothing after it. The way we about the last 15 mins was pathetic.

If Davis has another bad month now that fans forum in December will be very interesting indeed...

Of course he'll shithouse a few wins before it then take us on another long winless run after it though, that's the Davis way...

Sounds like a win or draw would not have flattered you. But I am not sure you should criticise your team for the last fifteen minutes. We have pretty much been doing that in all the games since the run started. I don't know if that is when we wake up, or the formation is changed or we are just fitter, but the last fifteen has generally been our strongest period. So it may have been the only part of the game we played well, rather than you playing badly. It is also possible with a young team fatigue could be an issue.
