Great result today which takes us up to 4th, a solid performance by all the players and a pleasure to watch entertaining football again after almost 4 years of dour hoof-ball.

Is Pardew really saying the ref has to keep 11 men on the pitch just because a player has already been booked regardless of what they do afterwards?

Not seen the 2nd booking but if the player is silly enough to risk one by making another bad foul then it's the player at fault.

I get that Pardew might be frustrated that in a lot of other games his strike may well have received a 'final warning' etc... but they were still two clear yellows, and a ref shouldn't dictate what it/isn't a yellow by the minute of the match or the time period elapsed after the previous foul.

The penalty decision I thought was actually a foul on our player, but this retaking stuff annoyed me. Referees never ever enforce that rule properly, but when they do, at least enforce it when the same thing happens on the retake. Consistency...
