This doesn't really deserve a thread but I expect we'll get more attention than the BLD (Big Lancashire Derby).

Third match for us in the CUFC mini-league. 3 points so far and we'll do well to get any more this season. That first home win and the Jevani created Uche scored winner seems a long time ago.

Having reviewed the weather and alternative NYD activities, I've got and printed my ticket. Surprisingly, the 3 central blocks seem to be sold out so there is a bit more holiday optimism about than I detected in the Habbin on Saturday. *

Despite the 2 day turnaround, I'm expecting a little changed starting 11. Probably O'Neil in for Elito.

With Jabo out for 3 matches, the bench will look a bit thin and I'll travel expecting a defeat but hoping we can get enough goals for another "entertaining" draw. Perhaps the tooth fairy will deliver for Uche and get him on a roll of hitting the target.

* Edit - I'm guessing those 3 blocks were sent to Cambridge and the majority will be returned unsold. I can't imagine we'll bring more than 400**

** We've sold 450 in advance so might double my estimate - tradition wins out over Derryphobia.

Apparently the groundsman found Uche's tooth in the penalty area after the match and the medics have stuck it back in with super glue or something ................................so no help from the tooth fairy this afternoon.

Yeah, I think a block or two in the away end always shows up as sold out so, like you say, must be the tickets that were sent to the club.

Not feeling as confident as I was before the last few results for the Cambridgeshire U's, with Derry's ultimatum seemingly kicking the side into life. A valiant effort at Meadow Lane is perhaps more worrying than routine home victories against lowly sides but maybe that performance against Notts County is what was needed to kickstart the season.

For us, we've only lost twice in the past 16 league matches and felt pretty hard done by in both of those, climbing to within touching distance of the top three. We've become much more solid at the back, relative to our early season struggles defensively, but can be a bit hit and miss in front of goal. I often feel that if we don't get a reasonably early goal we struggle to break the deadlock. Need to get off to a quick start and get that early lead.

Pleasing that Jabo is out as he would be bound to score otherwise, but we'll have to deal with Ikpeazu better than we did in September.

It’s a decent draw for us in isolation. We need to beat Mansfield in two weeks time though, we’re on a good run but it’s onlh good when there’s plenty of wins in there rather than “non-defeats”.
