Cup heroes v Away day zeros (Newport v FGR)

So after our brilliant win v Coventry last week we're back on the road, which normally means a defeat.

The hope is that Newport will be jaded after their midweek cup exploits, and hopefully with our improved battling qualities we might be able to nick somethng. Going to be tough though, they completely overpowered us at TNL and although we've strengthened, they've got some real quality in their side so this will be very tough.

Would definitely take a point, hope the weathers decent but even if not Newport's a decent away day.

If we get anything here I really will start to believe the escape is on. Thought Port looked very handy in the the opening period against Spurs and we don't exactly have the same sort of quality to peg them back but we have added a lot more going forward from midfield. Read on their forum the pitch has cut up tonight for the rugby and with rain forecast tomorrow might not be conditions for silky skills. High scoring away win by the odd goal in a ding-ding battle!

Flynn's seen how knackered his cup heroes are and has been out all night with hosepipe the sneaky bugger.

A bit pissed off with that tbh. Especially as the rain pretty much stopped around 2.

Also might have been an idea for NCFC to communicate a bit earlier that the game was in doubt. Might have saved a number of us a wasted trip. Oh well.
