Well this should be an interesting game, our second game already against a team who should be looking for promotion. Our team is still gelling together though it is now taking shape, meanwhile Derby seem to be trying to get used to Nigel Pearson's tactics and haven't looked good at all so far.

This isn't going to be a thriller I don't think.

The last time these two sides met was 12th April 2008 and I'm sure any Villan would happily take a repeat of that game! The game ended 6-0 in favour of Villa with Petrov scoring from the halfway line to really rub salt in the wound of the already relegated Rams. The other goalscorers that day were Young, Carew, Petrov, Barry and Harewood.

What I would like to see from this game would be a continuation of how we have played up to now, but with a bit more steel (hopefully added by Jedinak) in order to hold onto the game, playing Derby certainly isn't going to be as easy as it was last time!

Derby 1-2 Aston Villa for our second win of the season, and second in 6 months!

Gestede and Ayew for us, Bent to inevitibly score for Derby.

We probably had a better time than the away fans did tbh, well, those that were still left in the ground after 30 minutes that is. Surreal atmosphere.

Yeah, during out 5-0 loss to them.

Absolutely, I personally got to the point where I found it funny, last season was hilarious. When we lost 8-0 to Chelsea I was pissing myself by the end becuase it was just so comical.

Luckily this season we seem to have landed on our feet somewhat.

HT 0-0. Lucky to be in all square, whilst our back 5 have looked ok Villa have had a couple of really good pot shots, cross bar and a post rattled. Top save from Carson tipping it onto the bar.

Thought we edged that, though it is the story of our season so far that we only play well for one half. Much as the first half we dominated, I don't feel we were as badly dominated in the second, and Derby got very lucky 3 times when the ball really should have been in the back of the net.

Still, a point away at one of the strongest sides in the league, I'll take it.

Nothing lucky about Scott Carson's save mate, absolutely class.

We were much better second half when we stopped worrying about McCormack and pushed Hughes further forward. Couple of decent chances but nothing concrete, still plenty of room for improvement.
