Daggers vs. Notts

Tuesday night football back in East London for me. Uni stomping ground, so that'll be fun.

We can't find any form away from home and Daggers can't find any at all, so at least it's interesting from that respect. This is the kind of game we need to win if we're to push on into promotion contention. We've looked good and a lot more secure defensively last two games, so expect this:

Carroll
Hewitt - Edwards - Hollis - Sheehan
Noble - Aborah - Smith
Campbell - McLeod - Burke

Loach, Audel, Swerts, Stead, Barmby, Thompson, Snijders. Or something.

Subject to change cos we have so many players. Smith might struggle with three games in seven days, too.

If Dagenham sit off and let us play we should win. If they press us on a smaller pitch than we're used to, like at Wimbledon, we might struggle.

Had a couple of disasters at Dagenham in the past, so none of that.

Be disappointed if we lose this but that seems to be the pattern we have.

Ironically, this is the sort of game I'm actually ok with the likes of Edwards and Smith being involved in. Sticking with the same team seems smart too obviously.

The Boucs Fan Club was a tight-knit yet small community. I thought he was great. His lack of mobility was really the only thing that let him down, didn't have a particularly great range of passing either. Fun to watch though.

Boucs was excellent towards the back end of last season when we were on form and he had two other midfielders around him. We've gone to 4-4-2 this season and made him captain. Neither option work. 1) He's not inspiring enough on the pitch and 2) He isn't mobile enough to play in a 2 man midfield.

Looking forward to my trip to Essex again. 3rd or 4th time of going. Never forget how I confused the locals by asking for peas. Never seen a man so confused in a tea bar.

I don't know which Notts team will turn up so score predictions are hard. I think we could sneak an away win at this one. 1-2

Just saw one of the worst dives ive seen in a while. Player 30 yards out back to goal anticipates a challenge that never comes and swan dives. 8/10

Christ. Sums up our luck really. Miss a golden chance to go two up after a good save from their keeper, daggers counter attack shoot from distance and it flies in. Get a Peno, not even a card and its properly fluffed. Stead smashed the wood work rolls across the line and out.

Listening on the radio tonight but that first half in particular sounded absolutely fucking atrocious from us. I don't know where the hell we've gone in the past four days or so but it needs to change fast, whether that be personnel on the pitch or the management because quite frankly what they're serving up at the moment just isn't on.

A welcome point, but a totally undeserved one.

I don't think Notts were as good as the above posts would suggest. First half had 0-0 all over it until Ayo forgot to turn and run letting them in.

Then second half we were on top without threatening before Jodi scored out of nothing. Both teams hit the woodwork from distance and it was only when Stead came on that you looked a genuine threat IMO. Penalty should have won it for you obviously but I thought McLeod was very poor all match so in keeping with his display that he missed.
