Derek Asamoah's current club travel to Derek Asamoah's first club, where they now have two fields for each stand, with Asamoah himself in fine form... though it is by no means a guarantee of a starting place in Curle's line-up. The two clubs can also share some good memories of nights at Anfield, Northampton's being slightly happier... ours featuring an Asamoah goal.
Jabo won't be back for this game, despite having returned to training, a midweek fixture will come just too soon. Other than that we're awaiting news on Michael Raynes' fitness after he was taken off yesterday. If Raynes is missing for this and presumably Troy won't be starting then I can see Gillesphey coming in alongside Atkinson in defence if we persist with two centre backs, or alongside Atkinson and Miller should we go for three at the back. Either way, we could be lacking a big physical presence back there.
We travel having won three of the last four away from home in the league and will probably look to turn out another battling performance, withstanding pressure and then nicking the points in the second half. Northampton's unbeaten run was curtailed yesterday on six as they lost at Cambridge, so they'll be looking to make amends at home.
By the way Asamoah's wiki page makes for amusing reading.
That cufc17 is how you do a Fred title.

Asamoah was in his most prolific season yet, almost using his own two feet saving Chester from the drop
He described the club as a "sleeping giant" and hopes to help guide the Cumbrians back towards the top of the European game.
