I don't particularly like them as an entity but I don't dislike their supporters and wouldn't boycott matches against them

No emotion to them either way, just another lower league southern club. Nice stadium though, but soulless.

Think PuB is a bit touchy because I said we are a bigger club than Gillingham.

Most biased poll ever, starting with the title - "Do you hate MK Dons?" - how about something neutral like "What is your opinion on MK Dons?".

Also the options leave a lot to be desired.

PuB - don't ever pursue a career where impartiality is important.

If I was touchy about supporting a small club I certainly wouldn't support Gillingham thank you. Maybe take the poll in good jest ;)

How about re-starting it with 'what is your opinion of MK Dons?' rather than starting it with a leading question like 'do you hate MK Dons?' - then I'll take it in good jest

Or alternatively a nice unbiased thread along the lines of 'how much do you hate Rotherham?'... with a variety of options along a likert scale

I think they should relinquish the Dons bit, but no I don't hate them.

I think they will eventually get to the Premiershite, because I read somewhere that the place Milton Keynes is growing at a massive rate. I would always hope that whatever they achieve Wimbledon will achieve a bit more.

I'll agree on that, we have no place keeping the 'Dons' part of our name. It's pointless. We don't claim their history at all, and the only link between us and the old Wimbledon is Dean Lewington and Paul Heald both still at the club.

But we should definitely 'drop the dons'.

Like a lot of things in life I am agnostic towards the MK Dons, they rarely feature on my radar, but I certainly don't wish them ill. I suspect if they dropped Dons and created their own name there would be a bit less hostility towards them from many nuetrals.

I don't like their history. Then again, a guy on here was outrageously helpful with good directions for parking in MK, and they did have George Baldock.

Wimbledon are high on my list of least favourite teams

Didn't give a toss about Wimbledon to start with as they barely came into our consciousness for most of my supporting life. Didn't particularly like the move to MK but can't get livid about it. Don't really care about either now either, although Wimbledon has essentially been a Gills retirement home for the last 5 years or so, so I guess there's a slight interest there.

MK have nice seats though.

I think MK Dons are alright. Don't really like them, don't really hate them.

I think their fans get a bit of a rough ride from opposition fans sometimes. Most of them just support their local club like the rest of us yet are given a lot of shit for no real reason.

With Wimbledon now being at the same level it's about time the whole thing is forgotten about. They're just two separate clubs now.

I'm not bothered either way, certainly don't hate them.

And when I think about it I disliked Wimbledon in the 80's and 90's more then MKD in the 00's.
Rough and tumble intimidation team with hardly any fans.
Most clubs would have their lowest gate of the season when playing Wimbledon
and we always used to lose at Plough Lane too.

Good suggestion earlier about MK need to think about relinquishing the Dons name and history, also agree it's a nice stadium.

The thing about 'dropping the Dons' is that we've begun to make our own history now. Pete has always said that he would gladly do it if the fans wanted it, and I might have agreed if we were back on 06/07 or something, but now we've won things as MK Dons, we're known worldwide (because of the Man Utd game) as MK Dons and everything we've done in the last 13 years, I genuinely wouldn't want to drop it.

MK Dons, the new Swindon. Rotherham will come in to the reckoning, however, if a certain poster carries on.

The other 21 teams are fine.

Nearly two decades have passed since MK Dons formed, I just can't be bothered to hate them.

I will always hate how they come to exist and hope they never get large home crowds as this will justify the move in some people's eyes.

As for the dropping of the 'Dons', I can see it from both sides. I don't think they did themselves any favours by keeping it but Wimbledon did play a big part in their creation and some Wimbledon fans did follow. Milton Keynes FC does have a far lesser franchise feel to it though and probably should have just been their name from the beginning. At the end of the day, other than by their own fans they will never be seen as 'The Dons', that will always be Wimbledon.

If they called themselves the MK Cows or the MK Roundabouts they'd be at least 800% more likeable and they'd still retain that Americanised, franchise feel.

That was me

I hate us sometimes, so I voted for the "fucking hate them" option. Although, I hope we never, ever 'drop the dons.'

They're just there.

The most uninteresting fixture on any fixture list, hating them would be pointless.

It's probably true to be fair. I once met an American who asked if I lived near Oldham because he'd seen them beat Liverpool. It happens.

Franchisor,
Just lighten up a bit.
Football is meant to be fun.
We all support teams of varying degrees of shiteness, taking the piss out of each other is one of the things that makes it more bearable.
