we are now at the point where it really matters,
for Carlisle Tranmere Hartlepool as well as my hatters
I'm glad that in the promotion stakes we're still in the race,
cause as far as the others are concerned we've been in their place,
trust me when I say from our own history
getting relegated leaves you in a world of disbelief and misery,
the conference is now full of ex football league big teams
who's supporters wonder what happened to the dreams,
for some those days might return once more
for others it means a long long stay in division four,
so when you lot start taking the piss
remember it could be your teams who ends up on the precipice,
the conference is a long way to fall
and the way back can be a frustrating haul,
so for Luton at least there is hope and confidence
and all our bad times were just a past experience,
hopefully never to happen again
all aboard the stuttering Luton train.....
