Always a contentious subject and obv the EFL need to spread it around different clubs. More Barnsley than Luton?

From our perspective James is one of the best fullbacks maybe the best - although i think Stacey has outshone him - but he prob only played half the season? Shinnie Pelly Pearson and Bradley are very unlucky to miss out although obv all couldnt get in.

Barnsley do have more clean sheets and conceeded less, but Pompey have let in ten goals more than us. I guess its individual awards not units.

The only difference id have made is Shinnie for McGeehan so its not far off. Thats mainly as McGeehan doesnt seem to have ripped up trees this season like hes capable of doing.

Seems fair to me although think Eaves had a fair shout over Marquis given he has scored a lot for a struggling side. Looked far more dangerous against us as well for what’s that’s worth. Only town player I’d advocate for who missed it is Shinnie who has been exceptional this season and arguably our player of the season. Never seen Kane play so can’t comment on that

Our centre halves have been excellent but Pinnock and Clarke were hugely impressive so about right I think.

All other spots seem ok.

I don’t really argue with that team to be honest. As you say Bradley and Pearson are unlucky, but Pinnock (and Lindsay) have done as good if not better. I think Alex Mowatt or Jack Stacey may win the divisional player of the year. I’d also say Eaves should be in there ahead of McGeady or Marquis.

James Justin has also been nominated for the EFL Young Player of the year. Two of the three nominees came through in Luton’s academy and also through my local “park team” Crawley Green, who have produced many LTFC Academy graduates.

Why the fuck have the EFL already done the team of the season? It’s still March FFS. Once again they are just a joke of an organisation, they are doing this at the same time as they are running the 2018 Goal of the year vote three months in to 2019.

Only the EFL could manage to announce the 2018/19 teams of the season before announcing the 2018 goal of the year.

Maybe in a couple of years they’ll do a team of the 20th Century.

Sky were right up his backside during Donny v Barnsley the other week. Always thought he's been fairly wasteful. Scores a lot admittedly, but misses a lot whenever I see him.

I think it's fair so say he was in the pocket of Sonny Bradley last Saturday.

I have seen a lot of both Marquis and Eaves, and whilst I like Marquis and didn’t really want him to leave us, I have to say that Eaves is twice the player.

Really Kieffer Moore should have been one of the two strikers. He has a superior goal to game ratio than Marquis and also takes on average 24 minutes less than Collins between goals. He is the best striker in this division.

Collins' goal ratio is a bit warped by the fact that he didn't score at all for his first 9 games at the start of the season while he (and us as a team) adjusted to the step up. Since then his goals to games ratio is phenomenal (20 in 29 games).

Id love to see the gps stats for our players. Cant imagine anyone runs much more than Collo. Hes our frontline defense and so often a huge part of the high press forcing defenders into quick passes and decisions that the midfield pick off and nick the ball. Thats when we havent got the ball. When we have the runs and moves are continual and crrate space all over.

He probably wont win our player of the season but hes been so so important. For our system I wouldnt swap him for any other striker even if they might be 'better'.

One player who runs more... Stacey. His fitness is unbelievable.
