Looking at that our home form really took a nosedive this season. Considering the previous season we only lost once at home (ironically to a DC managed team) that is a huge drop off. Something we need to rediscover next season. Obviously there is some mitigation that there’s no real such thing as home advantage this season but won’t be that excuse next time.

That differential in home and away record for Oldham also :bl:

I can’t remember one being that wide before over a season anyway or at least where the away form is that much better.

Would have been interesting with fans in...

Would the referee have given different decisions against Tranmere as our fans tore into him?

Games where we knocked on the door but didn’t do enough in the final third like Scunthorpe and Kings Lynn... could we have got them over the line. Harder to defend deep for so long with a vociferous home side pushing them on.

Would the toxic atmosphere around Christmas when players downed tools have changed that?

Who knows and each team would probably have seen different outcomes with their fans behind of course. Let’s hope for all clubs sakes next year we aren’t asking “what if we were there”

In some cases with us at least it may have been for the best that fans weren’t allowed in the stadium. Just thinking to Barrow at home and Mansfield away a good number would have been trying to get on the pitch to get stuck in to some of them.

It’s hard to say really, that Tranmere one for example we ourselves got a right dodgy penalty when Conlon took a dive. Be handy if we play to our natural advantage next time and have the pitch at its widest rather than bring it in a load like this season.

Yeah all swings and roundabouts, can you imagine Bolton away had their fans been there for that!

The pitch was ridiculous! Signed Rodney, have Worrall and the likes of Amoo and Askey made it narrow. Assume he was thinking due to the amount of games on it in a shorter time but why change what worked so well last season!

Congrats to Colchester for being the only side that failed to ‘do the double’ over any other team.

Didn't realise Walsall's away record was just packed with draws.

Of course we were the only team Colchester beat away from home, so typical

Scunthorpe, and even that was the biggest smash and grab you're ever likely to see. That away record is truly embarrassing.
