Anyone done theirs yet? We had our virtual awards night last night.

Young Player of the Season - Brennan Johnson
Players' Player of the Season - Jorge Grant
Golden Boot - Jorge Grant and Anthony Scully (17 goals each)
Fans Player of the Season - Jorge Grant
Goal of the Season - Anthony Scully (vs Peterborough)

No surprise Grant sweeps up for us, been excellent this season. They'll still be Championship interest in him in the summer despite his new deal here.

You could have argued a case for Walsh, McGrandles, Bridcutt, Montsma or Hopper for example but it's usually the attacking players who catch the eye for these awards.

Our award for Services to Football has been shared by John Sheridan and Lee Power.

Here's hoping Swindon Town enjoy League Two.........................again.

I’ll enjoy it - Football is football. Another court hearing tomorrow. Clearing the decks for Robbie Fowler. God help us!

Will the court case tomorrow change anything quickly or will it continue to drag on?

Tbh, no idea. It’s called a Directions Session. Hopefully, the judge directs Power to do one!

I presume it has to be sorted before the FA put the boot in. If he sells up first, banning him isn’t much of a punishment. Standing, once of your parish I believe, has already resigned from his Agency.

Yes, Standing played 7 times (3 starts, 4 sub) for us in our worst ever season in 2007/08. It has taken along time for him to do something good for us. :)

A quick scan on Google suggests this:

It will provide key dates by which you and the defendant must complete certain tasks by. These directions will be set out by a judge in a court order and will provide details of all the steps that the judge believes are necessary to progress your case to trial.

I could be wrong though.

Thanks for that. I think the judge in the previous hearing told them to sort it by middle of May. Could be the end game, hopefully.

Tbf, Standing has been the one keeping us going under Power. Unbelievably, he’s put in nearly £6m.

We paid good money in those days, he must have saved a bit.

You may not get the chance to enjoy it if the court decides they've had enough of your rag tag outfit and the charlatans attached to it.

That’s not in the court’s remit. His only job is deciding if Standing does, indeed, own 50% of Power’s share. This case is entirely a civil matter.

Football really is a good way to lose a lot of money.
