The famous Alexandra make the long journey to Sands Industrial Estate to take on a very skint Wycombe.
The plucky outfit from the Chilterns, still revelling in Football League membership will no doubt be mighty chuffed if they can hold newly relegated but resurgent Crewe.
Not many people watch Wanderers these days so a gate above 3,000 would be considered an achievement.
I'll be quite happy with a draw here followed by a win at home to Mansfield on Sat to maintain our place in the leading pack.

Got to start Ainley instead of Kirk. Kirk might become a real talent but he needs time Ainley seems abit further along in development.

Wycombe 1-2 Crewe (Akinfenwa, Cooper, Dagnall) 3,230 (128 railwaymen)

If Southwell is fit the beast will be on the bench.

Okay Red & White  Next you'll be telling me you know more than me on where i currently live. :ffs: Muppet!
I might do as you're clearly not that bright!
I clearly remember educating your buddy Great White about his own club and town as frankly he was clueless.
Honestly, you really couldn't have made it up.
P.s. That new bus station in Wyc is an improvement on the concrete heap that preceded it,don't you think?

This sounds a lot more like the Crewe we all know well. 3 down at HT, radio Sjoke saying we've been on top all game but they scored from all 3 efforts on goal.

Holy mother of god - dope test. :bl:

I don't think I've seen us score 5 in 16 years of supporting the club, let alone in recent goal-shy times.

The funny thing was, we weren't that good, and Crewe weren't that bad, it was just one of those exceptional nights where everything seems to go right.

The return of Cowan Hall was a boost, and he did last a full half on his first start in ages before seemingly getting crocked again, but I'm still slightly confused by the result.

And...and...we didn't even timewaste - or at least no more than running it into the corners at the end, which literally every team does. Gobsmacked.

First time we've scored 5 since beating Hartlepool 5-0 in 2012.

um well that was only the second game he's played for us to be fair (the first one I've seen), and his home debut.

Way too early to judge him on the strength of one game coming on against demoralised opposition, with fresh legs and a hunger to impress, but he took his goals well and I guess has to be favourite to start the next game. We have certainly been lacking pace and players with the ability to run at the opposition and take on players, but time will tell if it was just an initial blaze of glory or not.

Promising start though.

mowgli thewwfc I see Kashket bagged a couple last night, how's he been doing?
Came on as sub at Carlisle last Saturday and hit the post with his first shot. His first goal last night was class but his second he knew nothing about as somehow the ball went in after he deflected a shot in the goal which he knew nothing about

Why would you want to change a starting XI that were 3-0 up at half time? If Ainsworth makes even one change then it will be officially confirmed he hasn't got a clue. When Premier League managers do it it's because they have strength in depth in every position but we are a skint club in League 2, as my old man god bless him used to say "If it's not broke don't try and fix it"

As we all know football can, from time to time, throw up freak results like this.
Crewe will be back to winning ways on Saturday whilst Wycombe's surprise win should boost their confidence in their struggle to avoid the drop.

Our injured players are slowly coming back so we will have no relegation scrap. I'm not saying we will go up or anything like that but things are at last looking up. When we get the money from Liverpool for the Jordon Ibe transfer to Bournemouth we will be financially secure as well as it's around £2,500,000.
