Wot no Fred?

Anyhow, last game with only two sides, sadly it's one game too soon for Swindon fans, who I am sure would have brought a lot more than 350 had our away end been open.

Hoping to continue our unbeaten run. Taylor seemed unhappy with last weeks performance and we have a week to ruminate on it, so I hope they come out firing.

I think Jayden will keep scoring, but it won't be as easy as last season, I think a 2-1 win. 4500 with 350 officially from Wiltshire

Sounds like Nicky Law is a doubt, which will be a huge blow. I suspect Forte will start alongside Stockley and we will adopt a 4-4-2.

I hear that Doughty is probably missing for Swindon, which is good news for us but I suspect they’re underachieving by the look of their squad.

Agree Denzel that it’s a shame that the new away end isnt ready for this game as Town would most likely bring a decent number.

I’m feeling another draw tomorrow which would be a bit of a shame as we need keep up with Lincoln.

1-1

I see Exeter Chiefs are playing Munster at 3:15 in the Champions League egg chasing. I wonder if that may negatively affect the volume of crowd? Will certainly be interesting in the City centre!

Doubt it. We have played concurrently lots of times in recent seasons, they are generally a different breed and it doesn't affect the crowd. Plus they mainly go straight to the ground early and imbibe, or come in from rural Devon in their 4x4s and use the park and ride.
Only problem is it affects which trains stop at St James Park, worst case scenario is a bit of a walk from Central station.

Law starting is huge for us. Wind dropped here so hoping for a decent game.

Could have been 3-0 but stockleys had his acrobatic second goal chalked off for just being offside. Unlucky.

Sounds like the better team win, as predicted (I actually said 2-0 on our forum, I would ordinarily have said wish I had put money on it but that last second Newport goal won me a 114/1 accumulator so cant complain)

Well done the Grecians, was it much of a contest or really straight forward?

Thought it was a good game. Both sides tried to play football. No needle at all. We played really well until the first goal then it was all Swindon. They played well in midfield and 10 was a handful. We were fortunate to go in 1-0.
Second half we started poorly but grew into it and got the goal after some excellent work by Sweeney. Then we played really well. Good crowd, good atmosphere (even the murderer chants died down after a while ) and no bookings.

Denzel summed that up well. Swindon looked good and did have a couple of good chances, so on another day it could have been different. I was impressed with their number 2 and Matty Taylor had an off day with his set pieces which was good for us.

We created some good chances towards the end and to have both Stockley and Forte up top we carry a threat.

Onwards we go and that’s 9 unbeaten now so can’t complain at all. UTC.

Almost a perfect prediction there, Richards should have buried that header in the first half!
