We don't have a great recent record against County (losing 4 out the last 5). It's fair to say Newport aren't the same organised/rough side that Edinburgh built. However surely things can only get better now Sheridans come in?

I'm expecting Crawley (a) part two. Newport will defend for their lives and we'll perhaps sneak one in the second half.

They were pretty poor last week, That said they did have 2/3 chances to make it 1-1 but we got a 2nd and it killed it off. I'd be surprised if Newport got anything here but saying that, Stranger things have happened.

We have a nice new away stand in place for Pompey, yay.

I expect a defeat in all honesty and I worry we may get cut adrift soon (Wycombe away and Bristol Rovers away to follow).

The only thing in our favour is our decent record against Pompey and the fact that I won't be attending (haven't seen us score in five games this season - I'm not counting Carlisle as that was definitely an own goal).

Hopefully not too many people will leave at half-time to watch the egg.

Cant really complain about the result. Looked like a perfectly ok goal for us that was disallowed though - didnt get a good view of it from my seat. Was hoping it may have been shown on FL show. Any Pompey fans see anything wrong with it ?

Only seen what was shown on the FLS, coming to think of it if the disallowed goal was first half I do remember on the radio them saying it seemed a harsh decision to disallow it.

Thought Pompey were not great but played within themselves. Looked like they could have gone up a gear or two if required. Its gonna be a long season for us as most predicted.

I didn't see anything wrong with the goal at all however I believe we can knick something from Wycome we can beat Brizzle!

To disallow that goal for a "foul" was harsh on Newport. Winning away from home without playing well and getting lucky breaks can only bode well for the future.
