21 out of last 30 and another 8 will do for me to confound those who had us earmarked to go down. May even do better and have a cheeky tilt at 7th.

In the five reverse fixture spell against these we picked up ten points... repeat would have us on the cusp of safety...

Morecambe is massive and must win.

Fancy us to beat Morecambe and Cheltenham with a point at home to Newport. Exeter and Swindon to beat us but would take 7 points to see us up to 40.

Far too many 'C's' in there for my liking!

Massive month for us with a run of games against teams who aren’t in that battle for a promotion place. We really need to do something similar to what we did earlier in the season and put together a run of wins. If we’re going to, then this is the time it’s got to happen.

FA Cup has been a bit of a distraction I think, but we’ll likely go out of that at Swansea next Tuesday.

December was great, January wasn't, so what will February look like for us?

Morecambe H - must win game. We won at their place so I'm predicting the same (W)
Cheltenham A - one of the teams we can overtake. I'll take a point here (D)
Exeter H - Exeter are looking good. We won at their place, but a point would be useful (D)
Swindon A - we rarely get anything at Swindon (L)
Newport H - a repeat of the away fixture (D)

Stevenage H 2-0 WIN

A big month (cliche) 13 points from 18 would be a good return and what will be needed to keep in the top 3.

Carlisle (H) - Massive, big, veiny and throbbing WIN by at least 6 goals. Carver to commit hara-kiri with the SHAME of it all.

Exeter (A) - Not so massive, big, veiny and throbbing DEFEAT. Tisdale smiles smugly at the triumph of the purist game over a bunch of timewasters.

Swindon (H) - My inkling is that we have a mediocre to bad record against them, so I'm going for a DRAW here.

Cheltenham (A) - I think they're supposed to be good at home but crap away, but sod 'em, WIN.

Morecambe (H) - we tend to do OK vs the lower ranked sides, so WIN.

Coventry (H) - no idea about this lot, but I'm randomly going to pick a DEFEAT.

10 points out of 18, I reckon we'll be nested in the playoff spots by the end of next month.

Yeovil A - About ruddy time we got an away win eh Shauny boy? WIN 2-1
Lincoln H - The troublemakers will be back in town. No doubt they'll attempt once more to go into our S.C. and a couple of our fans will receive banning orders again. And what's more, they'll take 3 points off us too. LOSS 0-1
Chesterfield A - Surely they've sorted out their back line since we beat 'em at our place? LOSS 1-2
Grimsby H - I'm led to believe, thanks to PaulH and GTFCfish, that Russell Slade is a shite manager and any side that is not totally and utterly shit can beat their lot. As I'm sure we aren't, I'm going for a WIN 1 or 2-0
Notts Co H - They may be a (much) better side than we are but it's our Dezza's old team :ds: and I reckon he takes that personally whenever the two sides meet. Or at least, that's the only reason I could come up why they always struggle against us. DRAW 1-1 OR 2-2
Accrington A - I don't believe we've ever won at the Wham, all I can think of is a 1-1 draw a couple years back LOSS 0-2

That makes 7 points out of 18, but what's more important to me is whether we can beat any one of Lincoln, Accy or Notts - all top 7 sides - as our record vs the top 7 sides under Derry is abysmal. I don't think we will.

Yeah, virtually no chance of getting anything from those away games, we're far too shit. Got a fighting chance in the home games, Exeter aren't all that great away from home, Colchester are average and if we can't beat Yeovil, we may as well just get relegated now. Need a decent return from those home games, because we're getting nowt from the away games.

Massive month. We’ve got some very tough games and could find ourselves with some catching up to do if it doesn’t go our way.

Barnet H - Win
Swindon A - Draw
Newport H - Win
Exeter A - Lose
Coventry H - Win

Optimistic prediction but if we can take 7/8 points this month I’d be happy, anymore than that and I’ll be elated going into March.

I think we could see as few as 3 points this month. To be honest, I can’t see us beating anyone at the moment, though law of averages states we should pick up some points. I reckon we’ll break 40 points this month but not much more.

Exeter (H) - I expect a reaction after the Wycombe defeat but Exeter are in fine form so will be a tight game. A narrow 2-1 win but the way we are playing anything can happen. WIN
Stevenage (A) - A short trip and a match we should win against a mid table going knowhere Stevenage. WIN
Crawley (H) - Gave us a tough game at their place but they are not as effective away from home. A comfortable win here. WIN
Cheltenham (H) - The third game in a row against mid table oppositon. Again we should really win this, provding we have learnt from the last time we played them. Stech will want to erase the memory of his last minute antics. WIN
Three home games and a short away trip means a chance to get back to winning ways. Our match at Coventry has been moved as they want to win the FA cup. Quite pleased we are not playing them just yet though as we need to get some players back and our new boys settled.

Won 2. Notts & Colchester
Drew 1 Accrington
Lost 3 Mansfield, Carlisle and Yeovil.

Reasonably positive month where we probably deserved more from the Accrington and Carlisle games and came unstuck due to a first minute penalty against Yeovil.

8 points from 4 games this month. Pretty good, eventhough we're not playing fantastically well bar the Crawley game.

Almost got all the results (if not the scores) correct apart from Barnet defeat.
10 from 18 is ok but we really need to be picking up 12 minimum now.

Poor month, really. 5 points out of 15.

Didn't take advantage against Swindon, decent point at Cambridge considering the turnaround from the Chelsea game, but the final two games have been so unlike us.
