Oh yeah, back with a vengeance on the new forum! Unfortunately, the January thread on the old forum has gone, so we'll never know how accurate our predictions were. Anyway, how will your team do in February?

Col Utd A - Draw. We have won both our previous 3 games at their new ground and we could do with making it 3 given their dire home record. Can't afford to lose, would take a draw, which is what I hope we'll get.

Yeovil H - Win. We have got to win this one, regardless of what happens at Col U. Their away record isn't too bad, but they are bottom for a reason. If we can't look to win this one, then when can we?

Fleetwood H - Win. We won't win both home games, but no reason why we can't target a win here. They are low scoring, so hopefully we can grind out a 1-0 win.

Doncaster A - Loss. They are in decent form of late and Ikpeazu is odds on to score. I suspect we'll lose this one.

Barnsley A - Draw. Hopefully can get a point out of this as they are wildly inconsistent. If we play well and catch them out, we could get a draw here.

Swindon H - Loss. We have a good record against them at home. Even a terrible performance last season still was good enough for a draw. Think they'll break their duck in the same fashion MK Dons did and win here.

So, 8 points, which would take us to 37 points with 13 games to go. Potential for more, potential for far less. Huge month for us.

Strong Style
Barnsley (H) - Good squad but just not getting the results. Win.

Oldham (A) - Lost a lot of momentum thanks to the Ched Evans saga their style of play should suit ours away from home. Win.

Scunthorpe (A) - Much-improved from the opening day of the season and my bet to sneak a play-off place. Draw.

Crawley (H) - They are dire and we should never have lost the reverse fixture. Win

Bradford (H) - If Hanson plays, I think we'll struggle. Draw

Crewe (A) - Gresty Road hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us recently and I'd expect a similar sort of result as the last few years. Lose.

Don't think we have quite enough to beat Donny at the Keepmoat but seventeen points from seven games would be fantastic.

Fleetwood H W 1-0. Probably a scrappy affair.
MK Dons A D 1-1. Mk to score a second half equaliser.
Port Vale H W 3-0. Straightforward win.
Sheff Utd H P-P. Blades to beat Manure. Probably.
Peterborough H W 3-2. Posh have rediscovered some form but we should have enough.
Colchester A W 1-0. Col U scrapping for their lives, hard fought win.
Doncaster A D 1-1 Same as in the cup.
Rochdale H L 1-2. Well we cant win every home game, and Dale have took points at both Swindon and Mk so a shock loss here.

14 points would be brilliant but id be happy to get through such a congested month in the position we are in now. Then we can regroup for the final charge.

A good chance some of them draws could go either way. A big month for us, need at least 7 points I think.

Bradford H - Must win and have a decent record against them. 2-1 WIN

Bristol City A - Lose 1-0 be similar to the MK and Swindon away games where we will Valiantly battle but make one cock up at the back to cost us.

Walsall A - Draw 1-1 Walsall are inconsistent and think we will get a hard earned point.

Doncaster H - Draw 2-2 They were awful at their place and we hammered them but they've improved and think we will draw this.

Notts County A - Win 2-1 seem to be sliding and we will avenge the defeat at our place with a rare away win. Need to score first to avoid getting drawn into the antics we saw at VP!

8 points in an average month as the season fizzles out towards safety.

A very tough looking month for us coming up, with one consolation being that we've got a decent away record this season so I fancy us to nick a couple of results.

Crewe (H) - Win
Sheffield United (A) - Lose
Oldham (A) - Draw
MK Dons (H) - Lose
Bristol City (H) - Draw
Doncaster (A) - Draw

That's being quite optimistic to be honest. March and April are much kinder months to us though, so if we can stay in touch by the end of the month then I think we'll be on track.

Barnsley (A) - WIN - Fancy this one. Play anything like we did against them earlier in the season and we should win.

Scunthorpe (A) - DRAW - They've improved of late, picked up a belting win at the weekend and will be confident. Fancy us to get a draw, though.

Swindon (H) - DRAW - Normally do well against Swindon at home. Played out an entertaining draw earlier in the season. I'd take another one here.

Leyton Orient (A) - WIN - They're in freefall so we ought to be winning this one. That being said, "Typical Latics" may rear its head.

Preston (H) - DRAW - Despite performances over recent season warranting 3pts, we just dont beat Preston. Think we'll get a draw, though.

9pts wouldn't be bad here.

I'm not counting Bristol as that should have been January where we got 7 from 15. Mid table which I'm ok with. As for February I predict :

Peterborough (H) draw
Barnsley (A) draw
Crewe (A) win
Notts County (H) win
Chesterfield (A) lose

Yeovil (A) - Win - Yesterday's result will give us enough confidence to get a result here

Doncaster (H) - Draw - Wouldn't be surprised we shared another 0-0 draw

Barnsley (H) - Draw - Barnsley are a bit inconsistent so it could go either way really

Swindon (A) - Lose - How we won the reverse fixture I'll never know. This could be an embarrassing defeat

Sheff Utd (H) - Lose - Another defeat looks likely here against a solid side who I expect to comfortably make the playoffs

5 points out of a possible 15 doesn't seem too great, but it wouldn't be disastrous, and it should keep us within touching distance of safety.

Leyton Orient (h). Win, due to the shambolic nature of the opposition.

Walsall (a). Win. I like Walsall, but Bradshaw will be a loss if he's missing. Ashley Grimes to trip over his own jutting out lower lip when through on goal, and get booked for diving.

Posh (a). Win. They'll huff and puff, and we'll cut them to pieces on the break.

Chesterfield (h). Lose. They're pretty good and have had some bad luck against Dale with late goals and penalties in recent years which is due to even out.

Sheff U (h). Win. First points ever against the Blades at the sixth attempt. They're competent, but not worldbeaters - like PNE the other month.

Bristol C (a). Win. We're pretty good away down south, and Bristol are due to lose one at home.

15/18 to keep the automatics (faintly) in view for another month.

Bloody hell, mate. If you pick up 15pts from that list of games then I'll eat my hat.

Good luck to you though!

Have you been on the Happy Juice? Can I have some please? If you get 15 points or better out of those fixtures I will donate £20 to a charity of your choice.

In the event of this happening, it seems from looking up the thread that Mr Hurrikeen of Oldham will be needing new headgear. As Boundary Park is known as Ice Station Zebra for a reason, the most charitable act I can think of would be to buy him a Saddlers Bobble Hat to keep his ears warm. :)
