So our first trip to Greenland. At Notts I am not sure if we showed you too much or not enough respect which lead to us drawing.

FGR have certainly picked up form and unless they poop a month again I can see them safe by the first week in April.
We are still looking for our first win on the road since September and despite a point being a nice return from this game we have to win.

Not sure if Stead and Shola will be fit after Tuesday and we could see Allesandra return.

Big question is will Noble start, he hasn’t been lately so it will be interesting. Will he get a good reception? I think not?

Recent respective home and away form puts us in with a good chance of getting something out of this, and Cooper seems to have settled on a pretty competent starting eleven (if still not quite firing on all cylinders in defence) so I'm fairly optimistic. Think Liam alienated too may with the nature of his departure, so think you're right about his likely reception.

Is Doidge likely to be fit? I see he hobbled off on Tues, but not seen anything else since?

Apparently it was just someone had caught the back of his heel in the Newport game. Would think a plaster would sort it so he will be fit I guess

Expect Doidge to be fit, think Nobes will take a fair bit of stick. The way he forced a move left a bad taste, shame really.

A very strange transfer. He hasn’t really got the starts he would have wanted either as he doesn’t suit a 4-4-2. He played in the crazy 4-5-1 Nolan tried, I’m so glad he seems to have binned that idea that saw us play 4 games and lose them all.

Watch him go back to it on Saturday now!

We did win at Morecambe on Boxing Day, so it’s not quite that long without a win on the road, that is the only one since September though

Looking forward to this, we don’t get that many new grounds to visit. Should really be looking to win but I thought FGR were very impressive at Meadow Lane and deserved to hang on for a win.

I’d be looking to try and get Grant running one on one at big Haydn, just the kind of tricky, skilful player that H can struggle with.

Just started raining here in Gloucestershire. The forecast for tomorrow is similar. Make sure you are well wrapped up for game. No roof over away fans in 2nd highest altitude club in England.

Would have thought the club would have planted a load of trees behind the stand to create a bio friendly roof :gr:

Mixed emotions concerning Noble.
When he signed for FGR from County he had to sit out a number of games because of amassing Red & Yellow card counts. However for the entire time he was at TNL he was a model professional with less than a handful of cards throughout his stay.
His first 6 months with us he was electric - a very good football league player in a Conference team. But then he went off the boil and never regained that high standard. However he was captain of our winning Wembley promotion play-off team so deserves a lot of respect.
His name was regularly sang out loud by the FGR faithful.
But he threw all that goodwill away by the manner of his departure. I suspect he will get a lot of verbal grief. County might well be advised not to play him or even have him on bench.

I doubt Noble would start anyway.

How has Hollis been getting on? Playing left-back isn't he?

There’s a little joke going on out t’other forum that both Hollis and Noble will score OG’s then get into a fight with each other and get sent off. I certainly hope not!

Hopefully a decent game, a new ground with quirky traditions on a soaking wet afternoon. Footballs great int’ it!

Yep, looks quality so far. Strong in the air and gets a lot of good blocks/tackles in. Comes forward pretty well too. Could cause you a few problems tomorrow I reckon.

Oakie's prediction forecast thread is interesting.
Two votes for a Notts Co away win by the two County supports while
two votes for a FGR home win by the FR supporters who have both used Joker on game.
Seems all four posters are confident that their team will win but seems the FGR supporters are the more confident.
Probably end up as a draw.

I was going for a draw however at this stage it isn’t good enough, like Tuesdays Draw at Cheltenham.
So with that being said we have to win really but I am not confident enough to through an extra 6 points at it.

We’re our usual incredibly slow and slightly scrappy selves, enough to be comfortably the better team here so far though.

Thought the goal was offside and then a penalty so no idea how it actually ended up in the net, just glad it’s stopped raining.

all we need now is a Hollis OG from 25 yards!

Thought that was a pretty good away performance from us, our best in ages, and a deserved win. We did manage to lose the plot for a five minute spell in the second half that nearly cost us, mind, letting Campbell score and hit the bar on the break from two attacking set pieces, which isn't really like us at all.

Was also Noble's best game since he came back, was obviously up for it but we could really do with a few more performances like that in the next few weeks.

The away end really isn't up to scratch for an away following in the high hundreds, but imagine that's something that'll get sorted relatively soon.

having just seen the goals on TV nice to see Noble is still an utter penis. The celebration was quite ridiculous.

Raising his hands up, running past the home fans. I know, I have never seen a player do that before. In the same game FGR's goal scorer did the same but ran from the other side of the pitch?

At least Noble had a memorable spell at FGR, half of the away end will have forgotten that Tahvon Campbell even played for us.

In all fairness to Campbell he came to us unready for the hurly burly of League 2. A bit like Chris O Grady who we loaned , we just got him too young and will probably do ok at lower league level.
