Doesn't seem 5 minutes since the opening day but we're here.

Not a lot of big games with top 2 top 6 sealed, only a relegation battle to decide.

Playing a bogey team today in Doncaster, 6 straight defeats away from home to them. The last time we won was in 1988 when Paul Cook scored the winner. So hopefully today we can end that run.

Blackburn still have an outside shout at the league title, because they're going to run up a Wigan-esque score today. I'll set off soon, can't wait.

It'd be nice to finish with a big win in front of a near-enough full Ewood. I'll have half an eye on the Wigan score but I'm not too fussed about the title, our aim has been achieved.

The battle between us and dale is the biggest interest of the day. Especially considering we are up the road from each other.
Think it's gunna be a damp squib personally with us both losing and us staying up by default.

I'd happily take that as well at this moment in time

I fancy us today for some reason (although I've said that 45 times already in the league this year).

No Copps and no Fergie today amongst those out of contract and not being offered new ones, bare bones and all that but still started better

Said before it’s illegal to relegate them, anyone that does will plummet to the conference and suffer 7 decades there

Was ridiculously comfortable up until that point.

Unfortunately for Oldham, Gillingham have done our job for us so we won’t be breaking our necks.

We also have Michael Zyro on the pitch who is right up there amongst the worst ever players to pull on the Charlton shirt.

Grigg finally puts Wigan in front. I think given the state of things we did well to last 70+ mins before conceding

Wait until the Oldham fans see the stone wall penalty we were just denied. Bloody hell.

Was watching, defo pen, but that's football for you.

Have to say we've got what we've deserved! See you in a bit maybe?

Fantastic escape Rochdale, really earned it. :bravo:

Glad Oldham are down. Sick of losing to Dale so at least we get a season break from them. Joe Thompson getting the winner is a great story in itself. Now time to forget this season ever exsisted.

Well our game today was abysmal. I don't think either side wanted to play it and it was reflected in the match. We rested our better players for next week and it really showed. Bring of the Play-Offs

Northampton are doomed

Think we spoke a bit too early there.

Sorry to Oldham fans - but congrats to Dale, after we somehow beat you 3-2 I thought you would stay up on the quality of your play, well I guess it all came together in the end - enjoy your evening!

A superb turnaround from Rochdale who looked dead and buried a couple of months ago fair play :2thumb:

Wonder where Eoin Doyle will go now? As I'm sure it will not be to L2

I went to Southend 0-0 Bristol Rovers in what was a classic mid-table end of season training match only marred by an awful referee. Good numbers from Rovers fans and very good noise particularly early and late in the game.
I wasn't sure about the sending off in real time and seeing it back I still think it was only a yellow card, which is what the ref initially gave before having a chat with the 4th official and then giving red. I don't normally moan about referees but my god, this guy. Every 50/50 challenge in the air he blew up for a foul, he would be perfect in the future non-contact game of football. His nadir was a farcical interaction with Kightly at a corner where he was trying to claim the ball was not in the corner quadrant when it clearly was.
Finally a note to the guy in the family section I was in who felt he needed to keep shouting 'are you being served' at the Rovers keeper every 10 minutes. Look around fool, 95% of the people there weren't even born when that reference would be relevant, cock.

What happened was the ref had forgotten he'd booked Ollie Clarke earlier in the game until our players reminded him, I'm not sure he would've booked him had he remembered as it did seem somewhat innocuous at the time but did end up with us having to sub Sam Mantom off for the second half (he was excellent again up until then, hope we can sign him up for next season).

It was a shame we lost both central midfielders in that first half, we ended up with a full back and a striker playing in midfield and couldn't break through what was a strong defensive performance by the Gas although our final ball and shooting was poor today.
