Hard to believe we had a bit of needle with Colchester back in the 90s which started with fans fighting at Layer Road, one of our flags being stolen and set alight, and then our old club bar being smashed up in the return game at SJP. Those were the days...

Onto 2019 and this is a big game for both teams. I suspect Colchester fans will be very frustrated at losing heavily in midweek after such a good performance the game before so unsure how they’ll react. As for us, we got the night off on Tuesday which may have been a good thing with some players having knocks, so hope our energy levels will be good.

I rate Col U, Szmodics is classy, as is Senior but Nouble is suspended which is good for us.

Hopefully we can get 3 points here to get back into the playoffs and I think we may sneak it 1-0. Bowman to finally break his duck.

Colchester scrapping? Always come across as one of them fanbases like Peterborough for example where everyone seems to be in their 50-60's supping real ale discussing trains and politics!

It won't be pretty given the conditions. We need to be quick out of the blocks and up and at em. If so, 2-0 us. Otherwise we will probably lose

Didn’t see that coming...Superb win and gutted I wasn’t there to see it.

From the commentary it sounded like a very tight first half and we got the goal at a great time from Jay who is producing the goods lately.

Second half the game opened up and both sides had chances but we took ours and Pym made a couple of good saves.

Huge plusses today to have Boateng start and play well, Moxey back in the team and also Troy Brown back after 6-7 months of injury. Also teams dropped points above us so we start to look up again. Notts County away next week is a great chance to get another 3 points.

I still think autos have completely gone for us now, but we should at least cement our position in the playoffs.

Although autos are unlikely, I wouldn't rule them out. We've the best run in out of the top teams on paper and a lot of them still to play each other. Mansfield MK last game of the season could mean we squeak it.

Can’t see us getting autos but it’s not impossible. You’d hope we could win at Notts next wk and then it’s Mansfield at home, which would be a huge win and mean we peg them back.

Tbh, we’d need to win 7 or 8 of our final 9 games to make it and I just think it’s too much for us to do. Having said that, we do have key players coming back at a great time. Boateng and Law make us so much more threatening but our lack of a goal scorer will scupper us I think
