Fleetwood vs Scunthorpe

Second game of the season, the return of Alexander to Fleetwood. We've started off the season strongly with two wins and we'll be hoping to make it a third here.

The return of GA and Lucketti, wish them well but not on Saturday. The team did terrific last night against Leeds and more of the same should see us through with a similar score to last season when we won 2-1

I can really see a draw coming in this game, our winning run under Alexander won't last forever and this is quite a likely place for it to end. I can see Bobby Grant getting abuse from our fans and smashing it a screamer followed by a finger over the lips infront of our fans. Van Veen to get our goal.

Alexander will be back to,prove a point but I can see us getting something out of the game . Probably a draw

FT 2-2 had a two goal lead but blew it once Scunthorpe got into second gear. At least we didn't lose

Well we could've easily won that.

We've won the last 8 games in a row playing 4-4-2 so for some reason Alexander decided to play 4-5-1. This left Van Veen isolated and allowed them to go 2-0 up. We then make the changes and go to 4-4-2, dominate and draw level. We then should've won but their keeper made some good saves.

Scunny came back well and you already have a goal of the season contender. In the end I think most Fleetwood fans were happy with a draw !
Biggest grouse, disgraceful home support, good sunny afternoon, that lot down the road away and we could only muster just over 2000 ( ex away fans ), heaven help us when the weather is bad !

No point bemoaning home support. Poor for this league yes, but only 10 years ago you were getting a couple of hundred. Be grateful at how far you've come so far.

UTS, I know how far we have come and % of the home attendance viz the population of Fleetwood is probably the best in league 1. The point was and is already the crowd is well down on last years opening match, naturally the answer is obvious -we nearly got relegated last year and ( some ) fans only support a winning team........
