Yes, here we are. Another major tournament kicks off and its France v Romania to kick us off.

France are looking very strong and look like joint favourites alongside Germany to win the tournament, especially with it being on home soil. Lots of pressure and expectation on them though, can they deliver and deliver well, given their opposition?

Romania I'm sure will be out to play spoiler and will be out to keep it tight, playing for a draw. France though will want to send a message and win by a few goals.

Cannot wait for this to kick off, the footballs only been finished for just over a week and I'm already getting withdrawal symptoms. I think France will win this comfortably, there'll be a fantastic atmosphere cheering them on and they have far too much quality for Romania. An early French goal and a steady 3-0 victory to kick off the tournament, can't see Romania troubling in this group.

Romania had the best recoed in qualifying regarding goals conceded with only two, but I think the main men Pogba et al will prove too strong for Romania, 2-0.

France v Switzerland would have been a more exciting opening game, but I'm not complaining, stuffed that tomorrow is the day the tournament starts! Can't surely be anything but a France win here... I have a tenner on Giroud to be the tourno's top scorer (due to France's easy route to the semis), hopefully he bags a couple if France are going to win anyway.

I'll go for 2-1 France. It could get a bit nervy for them if they don't get an early goal and Romania will be well-drilled at the back. France will probably dominate the majority of the match but defensively they could be troubled.
