Gareth "Beanie" Whiteside is a 34 year old MK Dons fan who sadly passed away on Sunday morning in his sleep after a bang to his head.

Appealing for any help from the Milwall fans that helped him out, this was outside Milton Keynes Central train station, please ask around Millwall fans.

Thanks,

BCS

What, where's the proof that he died? I don't like AFC but you're being a massive twat here. It's not about AFC to me, most of their fans I've met have been lovely to me (believe it or not) (I didn't make that FB post) it's about finding the helpful Millwall fan, as you clearly aren't here to help why don't you fûck off.

Where's the proof it even happened? Is it not an elaborate plan to get your "fans" to hate AFC more than you make out?
It's been confirmed by a close friend, and the MKDSA are in contact with the club about doing something for him at tomorrows game, they officially won't get involved unless it's confirmed. 100% not a subject to joke about though is it, no matter what

Very sad, regardless of club rivalry it is horrific, dying so young.

The fact that our fans had some kind of altercation with him surely is of no relevance if no one touched each other? Comes across very much as an attempt to blame it on our fans, when unless they actually hit him (which would be appalling), they shouldn't be blamed for it.

As stated, I didn't write the FB post, just asked to share it. I wasn't there so I don't know what happened, I've just heard he had a hit to the head, don't know how or who from.

To AFC fans on here, in fact all fans on here, don't bother with that part on the past about the "altercation" I have no proof or desire to label this AFC fans fault. It's a tragic thing that has happened, the important thing would be to try and find the Milwall fan.

I know we support rival clubs, but we are all normal people at the end of the day, couldn't give a fuck if you support AFC or Rochdale, it doesn't matter. It's more than football.

I sincerely hope that this death isn't attributed to fans of my club. Rivalries aside, no fan of any club should die at the hands of an opposition fan.

This from the facebook page of Phil Taylor? Sad that someone young died in their sleep! I'm sure a post mortom will come to a conclusion without helpful facebook posts from people not at game who have agendas of their own.

I removed the Facebook post last night as I didn't like the accusational tone of it, it's not about that for me.

It's about finding the Milwall fan who helped the lad who died.

Awful news. I only really met him a couple of times over the years. He was always at the northern away games. Any suggestion it's linked to AFC fans is idle speculation and does not help. IF anything did happen at CMK Station then CCTV should clarify matters pretty quickly.

RIP Beanie.

Congratulations Lamby. I'm sure that if you open your mouth just a touch wider, you'll be able to get your other foot in there as well.

Terrible news.

Out of curiosity though, how do you know it was a Millwall fan that helped out?

it is always tragic when someone dies so young.
I hope you find the good Samaritan who helped as best he could.
I also sincerely hope that his unfortunate and untimely death had nothing to do with any form of football related trouble.
The game in general, and the cubs in particular, do not need any more of this sad news.
Thoughts with his friends and family.

Fair enough, wasn't querying it just wondered why they would have been outside MK central when they were at home at 3pm and if they weren't wearing colours, why would anyone have known they supported Millwall.

Again, tragic news and must be absolutely awful for his family, especially at Christmas.
