Do feel empathy for Gateshead ON the pitch. Relatively small squad and not selling key players without replacing them, yet they are still in the play-offs.

Do understand why I have read comments about Gateshead not wanting to make the play-offs and how promotion could potentially reunion them

As a fan of a club that has had two crooked owners back to back everything that is coming out of Gateshead right now is very sad and very familiar indeed, it's always the fans who suffer.

They're not crooked owners, they're just incompetent. They don't have the money to make up the shortfall on the 3000 break-even gates the previous owner budgeted for and have got their sums wrong on their own budget. As you say, it's always the fans who suffer, although in some cases they were warned.

Nah there's nowt dodgy going on, other than they've got themselves a puppet owner and one Joseph Cala the 'financial adviser' really running the show, this is the same bloke who is banned from owning any part of a football club, Portsmouth and Morecambe know all about him, but because he's just a 'financial adviser' and his name isn't on any of the paperwork nothing can be done, the bloke was personally running a turnstile at Gateshead's home games this season, if that doesn't ring any alarm bells then nothing will.

It says it all when your manager ups and leaves suddenly to the surprise of everyone when they were sitting decent in the playoffs to a side on it's arse just above the relegation zone in the regional league below.

Gateshead arrived and over-stayed their welcome in this league by virtue of money they hadn't earned and their departure is long overdue. They bought their place here and the warranty has now expired. Bye.
