Strong and credible rumours that Gary Johnson is meeting with the Yeovil town board as we speak along with representatives from the LMA. Which can only mean one thing.

Bit strange to do it now though, just after the transfer deadline.

Sad to hear. It's probably been coming for a while but that promotion to the Championship was some feat. Maybe should have gave him until the Crawley game this weekend? That's a huge game.

It's a shame given all he's done with you, but I think this far into this season without any lift in form it was going to happen, regardless of sentimentality towards GJ. Hopefully a change can save you now though.

Skiverton to replace him permanently?

Hopefully Skivo and Weasel have learned a lot since their last stint but I can't believe they'll be the permanent choice of management team. No idea who we'll go to next.

I thought he had started turning it around?

Sad to hear - still has legendary status here.

He will always be a club legend here, the finest manager we've ever had in terms of what he achieved.

Some strange names on Skybet for the next boss - Shefki Kuqi?!

there's always odd names on skybet, we always get Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink and Kammy come up on ours.

As much as he has done for Yeovil (and he's done a lot!) I tbink a change is probably what the club needed, to give them a chance of staying up.

Kuqi is desperate to get into management in England. He applied for the job at our place.
Beattie is another who is keen to get back into management asap.

The Championship was a step too far for Yeovil and Johnson has been unable to reverse the losing mentality. They are still punching well above their resources though so I hope the new manager can turn things around for them. Sacking him didn't work for us where we had a steady decline from a top half Championship team (two 10th place finishes in a row) to rock bottom of League One in three or four years. 15th-20th-24th-24th.

Only now have we found a manager capable of matching Johnson's feats for us.

Not sure how I feel about this. It's been clear that things just haven't worked this season, but to sack him now rather than at the start of January is a poor decision imo.
He will always be a legend for what he did for us.

I was happy he was sacked from City, yes the 2/3 years were brilliant but the football we werr playing in the last season was atrocious. Also an edit for the guy who said he lead us to 2 10th places he didnt, we would have finished about 18th in 09/10 if he stayed in charge. Millen led us to 10th as caretaker.

As for Yeovil its very similar from his spell at City, its different though as he is Mr.Yeovil Town and has worked wonders on a small budget, is he the only manager who has done ok at Yeovil since they have been in the FL?

The club have confirmed we're not looking for a new manager as Skivo and Way have the job til the end of the season. Also we've rejected an approach from a south west based consortium to buy into the club.
