Only 4 years behind us, we will have an airport runway at the new stadium by the time yours is built. Incredibly tin pot.
Won't be in use much then...

It's not the best of contemporary architecture though.

Looks and sounds like very good news, certainly improves Coventry as an away day.

Funny it coincided with the arrival of Wasps

It was always planned to be built around this time, but they have certainly sped up the process since them flies have arrived.

Looks a fucking shit station though. Imagine if there was EVER a big crowd, how would them little platforms handle it!?

Total farce. It's really pissed people off here. Coventry City Council and London Midland are blaming each other and passing the buck, which dosen't help.

Typical of this fucking city. Cannot even organise regular stops at a basic two platform station.

I'll imagine something will be changed soon. Council have paid for this and were told trains would be far more regular.

Amazing. What a complete waste of time and money that appears to have been.

Surely it's not worth it for the tiny crowds they get there.

Don't Wasps get decent crowds then?

They do. Not had a crowd less than 14k since they moved into the Ricoh, had a sell out against Leicester in May as well.

Both sides will inevitable find some middle ground in this saga. No way will that station be left to go to waste on sports and concert days. It was built for that purpose. I am just staggered that an agreement over extra trains, capacity on said trains and manning of the station on busy days wasn't one of the first things agreed one before a spade even touched the ground on site.

I'm not too bothered myself, it's the away fans who will suffer. Wasps supporters from London are probably a bit pissed off.

I should think so, having been shunted further out of London, than the original Wimbledon FC
