Yey, individual match thread, I'm sure Soc will be delighted! ;)

Got a few injury doubts heading into this game, which isn't ideal. Looks like we could be down Ng(meh), Porter and Raynes(2 big losses), Ray also remains out. Still, brought in 2 new lads this week, which will be a big help and should ease the pressure on the ones that might be out.

As for Grimsby, not been a great start to say the least. Can they make it 6 for 6 for players getting sent off? Thought they were looking pretty threadbare, but the signing of Matt is a good one. Could also pick up a couple more in the next 24 hours.

Looking forward to my trip, only went once, which was the infamous Tommy Forecast 4-0 win back in 2010. What a game that was, loved it. We've got a pretty good record at Blundell Park, so hopefully that can continue. Would be happy with a point.

Thanks for reminding me of that.

Hopefully with the signing of Matt, Slade will scrap the one up top we've been playing at home, but will more that likely stick with the same bloody formation and hoofball. I was fairly optimistic at the start of the season but I'm a bit worried now having watching what we've been served up so far. Obviously still early days (Exeter last season comes to mind) but we do need to start picking up the wins soon.

I'm missing this one (very rare for me to miss a home game) but I'm heading over to Brussells on Friday for The Belgian Beer Festival and won't be back until Monday. I'm hoping to take in an obscure Belgian league game on the Saturday or Sunday if I can find one close by.

Heart says 2-1 Grimsby, head says 2-0 to Crewe.

We're far from threadbare but the team isn't good enough. We'll get turned over in the middle of the park again.

3-0 to Crewe.

We'll probably lose BUT we'll probably keep 11 players on the pitch for 90 minutes for once.

Hoping at least one of Porter and Raynes is fit as they are big players for us at both ends of the pitch.

We tend to do well at BP won on our Last 3 visits without conceding a goal, I doubt there is another ground ee can say that for and we've only lost once there since 1990.

Grimsby 1-1 Crewe (Matt, Dagnall) 4,986 (184 railwaymen)

We always travel terrible to Grimsby, will be our lowest following this season for a Saturday 3pm.

Got to pick up a win at some point. I don't see it being here though. 2-1 loss but the crowd go wild when we end the match with 11 men.

I know it's early days but winning and moving into the top three would be a massive psychological boost for the next few weeks. It's rare we have a solid start (although I think the last one was under Gudjon, pfft) and, as I said pre-season, under Artell a good start could snow ball.

Two decent signings this week. Grant in particular seems a proper good one. Artell could really excel himself by sorting out the RB spot today. We're looking strong regardless of injuries imo.

Grimsby 2-1 Crewe.

Crewe only win when both of the Formidable Chris Brothers play, so if Porter is out then we have a chance.

Also, if you only bring 184 then you will automatically be relegated to the Conference and charged with first degree tinpottery.

As I said before we never travel well to Cleethorpes. All the times I've been we've only ever rake a couple of hundred max (granted I didn't go Grimsby away in our division 1 days)

This weekend also won't be helped due to the majority of Sandbach travelling Alex being in Malta. I probably know 50 of our fans there most of which are hardcore Crewe fans that go every game.

I went at the start of the 2001/02 season in the championship and we had about 400 or so if I remember correctly which ain't great for the championship, not when we took about 1500 to Swindon for the first away match of the season a few years earlier.

Was 01/02 when we had a strike force of John Grant and Paul Tait? Historic.

I've no comment to make on the game so far as individual match threads are shite but I've popped up to once again add my displeasure at Tommy Forecast. It's no exaggeration the guy had to be seen to be believed.

184 travelling fans looks a touch generous at the moment. Sold 150 at close of sales today. Might see another 30-50 pay on the day, but I doubt we'll break 200.

Seems like we're going to be very thin on the ground for this one, or we'll be seeing plenty of changes at least. Porter, Raynes and Ng look set to miss out. Ray has had a set-back with his injury, so it sounds like he's a month or two away from returning. Looks like Stubbs is going straight into the team. Reckon team will be: Garratt, Ainley, Walker, Stubbs, Nolan, Bakayogo, Lowery, Wintle, Cooper, Bowery, Dagnall. Bench will probably be: Richards, Pickering, Woodcock, Kirk, Reilly, Dale, Grant

I've got a feeling one of Porter or Raynes will make it. Raynes probably more key, at least we should be tight at the back then.

If Raynes misses out, I reckon we'll be going with Bakayogo-Stubbs-Nolan-Walker at the back, Grant-Lowery-Wintle-Cooper in a diamond midfield and Bowery and Dagnall up top. If Raynes plays, swap him for Stubbs and I still reckon it'd be the same unless Perry Ng was fit in which case I could see him at RB, Walker in holding midfield and Grant on the bench. Swap Sass-Davies for Woodcock and that'll be my bench most probably. Dave would be mad not to try Bowery and Dagnall together if Porter's out injured.

We look a bit makeshift but I reckon we'll have enough to get past Grimsby. 2-0 Crewe I reckon.

150 is absolutely pitiful. I honestly didn't realise you lot had such dire away support.

It's never very good. But also Grimsby is one we really don't travel well too. I fully expect us to take more to Exeter in a few weeks

Alot more optimistic now Porter, Raynes and Ng are fit and start, although I wouldn't have taken Zooms out, was one of our better players vs Vale.

Lowery drops out due to injury, so Conor Grant makes his debut.

And you are a Crap troll.

I guess you got bored of trolling the non league section once you realised that no one cares enough about what you say to 'bite' eh?

Sounds like we could of nicked a point. Possible pen not given 1st half, Dagnall, Porter and Bowery all came close to equalising. Not our day today, and we were due a loss vs Grimsby.

Thought we played really well on all fronts, despite having Berrett on the field. Defended well, attacked well, in control for a large majority of the 90. As I thought he would, Hooper looked really good in front two where he can pick up loose balls, even if he was greedy on more than a few occasions. Love seeing a central midfielder score with a header, Disley would be proud.

Can only hope we stick to 4-4-2 now. With the abundance of strikers we have now I'd like to think we will. We're still bare as fuck at the back though which is my main worry, I'm barely convinced by our defence as it is, never mind with the lack of backup.

Unbeaten in the League with 11 players, and we haven't beaten Crewe at home for years - I think we played 2-3-5 last time we beat them in the league, surely this means it is our year...

How did we do with 4-4-2?

Officially the best team in the league when we finish with 11 players.
