So we have the return of Amond and Nsiala to Blundell Park.
I have a feeling that this will be an end to end affair with quite a few goals in it and I expect a mixed reaction from the fans with our ex players, with Amond getting the better reception.
I sadly won't be there as it is my daughters birthday and I took her to the Crewe game and surprisingly after that she doesn't want to go again!
Prediction 3 - 1 to us.

Looking forward to this one on the back of a couple of good results/performances from Pools. Would like to see us go 2 up top again to open the game up a bit more. Hopefully Thomas and Amond can do some damage.

Toto odds on to make a calamitous mistake, but he will make up for it with a goal straight after.

We're looking a lot more solid at the back after the calamity at Stevenage, I hope he keeps the same back four that played Tuesday but what he does with the midfield I'm not sure, Higgy is talking about maybe being more attacking so possibly a midfield four of Alessandra/Laurent/Hawkins/Thomas perhaps? with Billy and Amond up top, he has to play two up front right? There's no way we can go into another game with just one striker doing all the donkey work.

We've been pretty okay away from home so far this season and we've got to start turning these draws into wins, 2-1 Pools? Perhaps? Hopefully? Maybe?

And try and not get sent off this week!

Looking forward to this, first visit to Grimsby.First northern game for us & looks like we'll have decent backing.
As previously posted were tighter at the back at the expense of another forward.
Can see Donnelly replacing Featherstone & Harrison coming back in defence.
3-1 Pools.

He's a good player, was more concerned about his loss than that of PA, cut out the still somewhat too frequent aberrations and he could perhaps play at a higher level. Hope he gets a decent reception although he may not...

I thought Amond was a steal when we signed him , but he really has missed a few crucial chances that could have earned points ....Totos mistakes have cost us , but the fact is , the game he was out we shipped 6 . ... Toto times his tackles to perfection ...I just don't like it when he has the ball !

Amond really punished the dross defences in the Conference - hat tricks and a 4. Against Cheltenham, Forest Green, and the mean Braintree defence he didn't score in 700+ mins of play...

Now I've said that he'll get a brace this afternoon...

It seems I've picked a good time to find myself in Corfu.

Hope Chambers isn't out for too long, been one of our best players this season.

We've sounded poor for the last 3 games especially going forward so I don't think its much of a surprise, more luck that we won two 1-0s from penalties against sides that are poor going forward.

As someone said above Amond was good against shit defences which ours is, luckily our strikeforce has been getting us out of it, but how many decent chances have we created in the last 4 games? Defence still needs badly sorting but am sure we have enough about us to maintain that midtable slot.

I thought we were decent against Newport. Didn't make hundreds of chances but their keeper made two very good saves and we hit the post twice. Recently though it's definitely been a far cry from the Stevenage game. Not to worry, we've shown what we're capable of and I trust in Hurst to build on it. I think we can challenge for promotion within the next 3 seasons.

Don't put too precise a target there or anything.

Have to dust ourselves off after that for two away games. Our home form is quite poor - be nice to win when we get more than 5k home fans there. Decent sides seem to be able to sucker punch us with a counter attacking game. PH needs to look at today and Crewe and think about what we need to change. I still think Rhys Browne can add something different once he gets fully fit. If Chambers is injured he might get his chance.

I think Chambers is injured...

Astonishing that a player did that and got a yellow card

The most flattering 3-0 I've seen.

Really? For all your possession in the first half hour you had 2 shots in the first half, one of them weak as piss.
Beginning of 2nd you were all over us for about 15 minutes, but still couldn't score.
After that we pretty much controlled the game

Did Hartlepool get Nathan Thomas on a free? Surely not.

One of these undisclosed jobbies, it'll of been between a free transfer and a nominal fee, which makes it even more sweeter when he leaves in January for seven figures.

Yes. You're right in saying we didn't have many chances but you had even less and scored with 3 of them.

£15,000.
If Grimethorpe want £1 million for Bogle,Thomas must be in the £5 million mark.
