Which League 2 grounds haven't you been to before?

For me:

Carlisle
Exeter
Newport
Stevenage
Barnet
Yeovil
Crawley

Will definitely do Barnet, Crawley and Stevenage, hopefully I'll get to the rest. Not rushing to get to Exeter though to be honest.

First time in our history we will be playing Newport, Accrington and Morecambe.

Did you visit us when you hadn't won for ages away from home then proceeded to win? Then came back the next year having not won since the previous year and then won again?

I was aged 10 and 11 at the time and sadly with them both being school nights, the answer is no o_O

However, that does not mean I do not remember them! We beat you both times in the 95/96 and 96/97 season. There was more of a fuss in 95/96 when we beat you 2-0 in the return game in February as it was our first double for something like 3 years :ds:

I'm not a big one for going away, but , if your off to Accrington you have to go in the Crown pub on the main road, without doubt the best meat and potato pie in the world , trust me, I've had lots of pies, none better than in there!

Only Yeovil, which based on our results the last couple of times we played there was probably a good thing.

This season was my first with a serious effort to get to away matches at this lofty level, so I thought I should have plenty to go for. In fact, at the most 8 and could be only 6. It looks like I might be seeing a lot of the West Country. In probable order of priority:
  1. Orient
  2. Portsmouth
  3. The Gas (if they get up)
  4. Plymouth (if they stay down)
  5. Exeter
  6. Yeovil
  7. Accrington
  8. Newport
I managed to work in Accrington for 18 months without going near The Crown Ground or Peel Park but that was in the Lancashire Combination days. The meat and potato pies were best in the country in those days. A visit is probable.

I had plenty of opportunities to get to Newport over the last 10 years - strangely all were avoided. I suspect it will be the same next season - unless someone can give me one good reason to go.

Barnet's new one, Mansfield, Luton, Grimsby if they go up, Cambridge, Newport, York, Wycombe, Plymouth and Exeter.

Hoping to do one of Wycombe or Plymouth if they get promoted in the playoffs. Also looking to do Mansfield and York as a neutral this upcoming year!

None of them... I don't really travel away that much, just two or three times a season, and I didn't go away at all last season so most of the grounds I have been to are in League One. Out of the teams in League Two last season the only ones I'd been to are teams who came down with us, Tranmere and Shrewsbury, and neither of those will be with us next year.

get blooming Carlisle done, its not that bad a trek......only 4 hours. I've done Northampton 6-7 times maybe more and twice for evening games its an absolute doddle.

Carlisle is just off the motorway so easy once your there , plus the M6 Cumbria bit has to be the most scenic motorway in the world so well worth a drive up

Luton, Mansfield, Newport, Notts County and Yeovil will be the new ones for me next season. I've done Barnet but that was with St Helens for Rugby so it probably doesn't count ;) I've tried to get to Newport before as well, waterlogged on the day of travel which was very frustrating. I imagine I'll tick off Luton and County with some ease regardless of when we play them, the other three really do depend on the time of year we face them for me.

What grounds have you done the most in this league, aside from your own obviously? Of my multiples I've got Southend (x6), Wimbledon (x4) and Norhampton, Orient, Accrington (x3), plus a few on x2 and the ones I've visited once.

to be fair C & B you miss the best part of the drive, the M6 around shap is superb, you would come up east side.

I wish I could go to away games now, but cannot afford to anymore as moved into my first home, L2 next season is looking cracking for a mixed blend of grounds. I think pretty much all have an individuality in them, and a good mix of them old school grounds, unique grounds and decent away end grounds.

People were getting train tickets for less than £20 for Carlisle last time a few months before the game. I couldn't go because of Uni, but will definitely aim to do it next year.

Wycombe x 4
Southend x 3
Luton x 2
Morecambe x3
Oxford x4
Dagenham x3
Wimbledon x4
York x3
Mansfield x4

Need some new bloody grounds! Some good games at those grounds though

Yeah, but we have to go through Birmingham to get there. Not sure it's worth it.
I avoid Birmingham like the plague. Get to M1 then A50 to M6 (decent pubs/caffs around Stoke or Uttoxeter). Even better (for D&R if not Cobblers) A1/A66 or A1 and across through Otley (great pubs and caffs in Otley and Skipton plus Hellifield station caff).

My main multiples are less than ideal venues but near enough and often important enough to tolerate the discomfort or hassle finding a decent boozer. Luton (>6) Mansfield (5) Stevenage (5 + 1 Conf South PO Final). I've only seen York at Morecambe and (not unusual I expect) managed 2 trips to see 1 match at Bury (FA Cup) - at least that got me to the New York Stadium, where I had to suffer fatty and shouty for a Yorkshire derby with Bradford.

I've not been to Barnet's new ground and also got Grimsby to tick off should they be promoted.

I've done the rest in this division with two visits each to Southend and Exeter. I think the most visited ground for me is Upton Park at six visits.
