Yes. Many, many atime. Even missed Robbie Di Matteo's record breaking FA Cup final goal vs Middlesbrough in 97 as a result of being in the toilet (despite my mother forewarning me). Sorry, this is not a league 1 anecdote.

Nearly happened to me on Boxing Day v Accrington, my daughter was busting for a piss with 5 minutes to go so I said to her to try and wait until full time.
A couple of minutes later she said she couldn't wait so I took her and just as we got to the bottom of the steps in the Pontoon Chambers smashed in our second goal.
If I had taken her when she first needed to go we would've missed it.

Yes - a couple of times.

Infact I wasn't really aware one had been scored for a minute or two as it was a pretty small crowd/no scoreboard!

Very rarely at a live football match but it is a guaranteed way of improving a boring 0-0 TV game as I'll come back from a slash to at least a goal being scored, every time.

I went for a shit during the West Ham v City game last Friday night and came back to 3 goals!

God yeah, loads of times. This year the only ones I can remember are our first against Coventry and the Chesterfield equaliser on opening day.

Missed plenty for leaving early, 96th minute equaliser Vs Spurs in our second(?) home game in the Prem, went to Derby and left before we scored a last minute winner, walked out Vs Burnley out of frustration after two shocking red card decisions to equalise with 9 men...

Numerous times, in fact it's becoming a running joke. I'll be at Kingsmeadow and my exiled daughter will be listening online. If we're losing, she'll send me a text suggesting that I go to the bog.

Lots!

Most notably, Benito Carbone's over head kick vs Barnsley in 2001.

Gary McDonald's 30 yarder at Goodison a few years back.

That must be really unlucky, based on the number of times you actually score :fish:

And yes, I am setting us up for a 3-0 battering on Saturday.

Missed plenty for leaving early,

Leaving early?

Back in the 99 Play Off final about 30,000 Man City fans left when we went 2-0 up in the 86th minute.

Only for them to score in 89, 90+5 and then win it on pens...:(

Never mind, all good, look where both teams are now...... no, wait....

Norwich away back in 2009, went down a few minutes before half time and was queuing for a pint when Shelvey scored to put us 2-0 up, I did the natural thing of darting back up the stairs to celebrate.

Thankfully, most others in the queue had done the same thing and when I went back down I was nearer to the front of the queue than I was originally. Happy days.

Just remembered at Halifax last season we missed 3 goals leaving early, we were 3 - 0 down and we left it until the 85th minute before fucking off to beat the traffic and it ended up 4 - 2.
Not that we cared as we were so bad that day we couldn't wait to get out!

A Gillingham fan I work with was at that game and he said he didn't stop crying all the way home on the coach.

A Gillingham I work with was at that game and he said he didn't stop crying all the way home on the coach.

Had I done that on the coach back to Cornwall, I would have flooded it. It was a 9 1/2 hour overnighter.

I didn't cry though, I just got smashed.

My birthday is April 12. In early 90s when we were actually good we were away at Birmingham. 10 minutes into the 2nd half we were 4-1 down.

Said to my mates we might as well fuck off down the pub but I got outvoted. We ended up winning 6-4 - one of the most amazing 30 minutes of supporting Swindon.

Never missed a goal, don't eat food in football grounds and only have a slash at half time, I have ruthless control over my bladder.

Missed plenty of goals at the bar. Most recently Scunnys goal against us. We beat Swindon 2-1 away last year. We scored just before and just after half time. I was at the bar for both. :ffs:
