No willy waving. Just intrigued how many games those on the forum have attended this season (home/ away)?

Appreciate still a couple of games left, but i'll have attended:

Home
19/22 home league games (missing Fleetwood, Ipswich & MK) and will be attending the final one. Renewed season ticket for next season. Therefore 20/23

Away
3/22 away league games (Barnsley, Burton & Derby) and will be attending Morecambe on Saturday. Therefore 4/23

Attended no cup games (FA Cup, EFL & Carabao).

More than they deserve.

20/22 home so far but might give the Port Vale game a miss on Saturday. (Missed Oxford and Bristol Rovers.)

Did Coalville at home in the FA cup and Brighton at home in League cup.

12/22 Away and most definitely won’t be doing Cheltenham on the final day so that’s me done. (Accrington, Sheffield W, Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Burton, Port Vale, Portsmouth, Peterborough, Exeter, Derby, Cambridge, Bristol Rovers.)

Also did Stevenage and Man United away in the league cup.

Home 21 (including Morecambe on the last day)
Away 7 (including Ipswich on Saturday).

No pizza games as I am boycotting and no league or FA Cup games as we always get drawn away.

49/51 in all comps, providing I make the final two of the season.

Missed Barrow away due to going to Milan to watch Italy v England instead.

Also missed Carlisle away due to train strikes on Avanti, rail line closure between Newcastle & Carlisle due to a derailment meaning getting back on the same day might not happen, my regular travel mate having appendicitis meaning I'd had to go alone, therefore faced with the potential cost of going on my own costing upwards maybe of £300 and with staying over on my own costing similar and not getting back on the Sunday until 4pm - I decided it was simply not worth the cost and hassle of going, so watched on the stream instead. First time in 19 years of going to away games I literally had to admit defeat and accept I couldn't get there. I've driven to Carlisle twice before, but I won't ever be doing that again for a football match.

Home - 22/23 only missed FGR as was in Kos

Away - 3/23 having kids don’t get as many as used to but done Derby, Burton and Sheffield Wednesday (oddly with our away record being poor saw 2 wins in that!)

No cup games, largely as we went out first round and don’t bother with the Pizza Cup.

Home: 22 - will be 23 assuming no disasters between now and next Sunday

Away: 0 - Wanted to do Derby, but game was moved, same with Oxford. No other games really stood out.

Cup: 1 FA Cup at home - lost to Alvechurch, 2 Pizza Cup games - Quarter-Final at home to Salford and the semi-final away to Plymouth.

League: All home league games, will be 23 after we play Oxford on Saturday. Just one away game this season, Charlton, possibly one of our better performances...at least we gave them a decent game and made them work for a point.

FA Cup: Alvechurch and Birmingham at home.

Carabao Cup: Orient and Brighton at home.

Edit: I also saw our Women beat Weston-Super-Mare 8-0 in the Women's FA Cup...probably the best display I have seen from any Rovers team in years...they were brilliant!

Done 34 in the league, nothing in the cup. Glad I did. A great season.

Home - 19 in the league (will be 20 if I bother with the dead rubber Wycombe game, missed Barnsley, Cheltenham and FGR as I was abroad watching better football.) 1 in the FA Cup (MK Dons, the only home draw we got.)

Away - 6 in league (Sheffield Weds, Cheltenham, Ipswich, Port Vale, FGR, will be doing Derby.) 1 in the FA Cup (Spurs) and neither of our League Cup ties at Cardiff and Newport.

Nothing in the pisspot trophy, obviously.

Far less than I wanted to and normally do, life is starting to catch up with me after all.
Home: It will be 18/23 for the League and 2 League Cup games. The 5 missed were Tuesday night home games which have become impossible for me to attend.
Away: I'll end up with 6/23 with 1 League Cup.

Mine’s been poor this season:
10 home league games (+1 final day)
1 away league game
1 home league cup game
2 home FA cup games

Not great but the difficulties of having kids.

Can’t remember exactly tbh, it’s all a blur of heavy thumpings, heavy drinking and self deprecating banter.

Haven’t missed many, done about 20 home league games plus 2 league cup and 1 FA Cup so would say around 30-35.

After next week, I'll have done

Home - 26 (incl. 2 League Cup and 1 FA Cup)
Away - 12 (incl. 1 FA Cup). Well down on last season, mainly due to health.
FA Youth Cup - 3 home ties and the quarter final at the Emirates

Barrow AFC - Sadly only Oldham away fitted this season.

Cambridge City - 4 home games and U's u18s v City in the Cambs Cup Final.

To be fair, our youth team had a brilliant run in the youth cup this year - beat Stevenage, Portsmouth, Colchester, Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday (some home/some away) before losing to an injury time goal to Arsenal in the quarter finals at the Emirates. There’s been a lot of interest in our youths this year (and last year too - we reached the last 16 last season). 3,000 Cambridge fans went to the game at the Emirates, our largest away following of the season.

As Laker said, our lads have been good this year with some outstanding individuals in a well coached squad. Some of them were in a decent team last year and have improved. The best were already on loans at lower level clubs mixed with time in our 1st team matchday squads, joining the (mainly younger) Development Squad for this FA Youth Cup run.

In fact, the Youth Cup games coincided with a terrible run of results for the first team and the games were a welcome respite to watch. We had/have a cracking midfield, in particular George Hoddle (Uncle Glen was at the games), Kai Yearn, Glen McConnell and speedy little Dan Barton played some brilliant football, out playing Wednesday and Chelsea, whilst they matched Arsenal and were only undone by a gift penalty from the ref.

I'd rather watch our youth in a proper competition or playing for local non-league sides than our reserves in the farce that is the Trophy. In fact my only visit to London Road before this season was to see our U18s beat Posh in the 2017/18 FA Youth Cup.

Fewer than intended, but (having intended to get to most Saturday away league games, and only a few home fixtures) maybe the train strikes turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

Simultaneously the most enjoyable and most frustrating one I did get to: Shrewsbury away.

I can't be bothered to work out the numbers but last season must have been my peak for numbers of live matches ever. Certainly over 50.

It was partly a response to lack of games to attend the previous season through Covid, partly the new grounds (Wednesday, Sunderland, Ipswich, etc) to get to with promotion to L1, partly lack of holiday travel post Covid, partly that so many games seemed to matter and our away form was decent. Also I got to all 7 cup games, including the win at Newcastle.

I managed a few more City mid-week games and got to 4 Barrow matches plus had the joys of a couple of football-free nights in Barrow when my attempted double-header with our 5-0 win at Cheltenham fell apart after a monsoon postponed Salford's vist to Holker Street.

Away games I've been too are Exeter,Burton, derby, Oxford, Bristol rovers and shef wed. Couldn't afford go anymore than that and not been an away game since December 29th as can't afford go them anymore.

Been 1 away game (Derby), and about 17 homes. Give my brother the season ticket if I don't go.

Will be 22/23 after Plymouth (missed Wycombe in Feb)

Away
13/23 as not going to Charlton later on -(MK Dons (Tues), Burton, Derby, Wycombe (Tues), Oxford, Bristol Rovers, Forest Green, Shrewsbury, Morecambe (Tues), Bolton, Portsmouth, Accrington, Ipswich (Tues).

FA Cup
1/1 - knocked out in R1 at home v Exeter

Carabao Cup
1/1 - knocked out in R1 at home v Rotherham

Papa John's Trophy
2/5 - Wolves U21s H, Shrewsbury A

39/53 in all comps which isn't bad as the only away games I've been without my 6 year old are Wycombe and Ipswich away in midweek.

17 Lincoln City all home league games, been a very strange season and no mistake, so many draws.

Also been to our local non league side Lincoln united 8 times at home including yesterday's rather poor performance in their relegation play-off match.

After yesterday I have seen 24 league games this season, all our home and one away, and seen us score a remarkable 16 goals...that is approximately two-thirds of a goal per game!

The biggest surprise is that we actually managed to win five times at home...definitely a season to forget...now what was I talking about?
