Who hasn't had wholesale changes in Div 4? Cambridge and Newport! Who's top of the table?

We have kept virtually all of last seasons squad together apart from a couple of fringe ones who left and just added to it, obviously far better to have that continued settled side, many have been with us 2-3 years now. On Saturday the XI was all from last season's side, other than Burgess and Amoo all had featured with us the season before last too.

When we were total chaos after Smurf pushed Page and the squad out after the Exeter cup debacle in 2015/16 we were signing 40-50 players a season for the next 2-3 years and hence had relegation from L1, and two 20th placed in L2 (our lowest ever finishes). The foreign experiment, repairing the damage from that and then relegation and repairing from that, players after players came in.

This is why I am not totally surprised to see Bolton struggle certainly early doors.

Mansfield, Stevenage, and Oldham are other teams that had huge changes to their squads and are sitting near the bottom of the table.

Oldham are pretty much us under Smurf. Relegated, loads of appointments, think they tried a bit of the foreign route IIRC and lower league 2 finishes.

Given how poor we were last season and the uncertainty over the division we were going to be in, the overhaul was necessary for us. Hasn't particularly worked but not sure we had much choice.

I hear what you say, but i think we should be a lot higher up than we are......I get Evatt way of playing, but not to a point we dont adapt.
We have played the three centre backs all season with a goalkeeper who has been a nervous wreck from day one.
He wont change that system despite simply not having the right men for it. He signed two left wing backs but now he plays a right footed centre half as lwb and keeps both of them on the bench.
His two original rwb dont play now Jones injured Hickman bench.....kioso plays there and is head and shoulders better than the two he bought in.
Greenidge and Taft have not had a game since the first game despite Baptiste being awful.
Midfield stuck with Comley but thankfully he is now out of the first 11
Tom White, Darcy,Tutte, and Sarcevic are the best 4 midfield in div 2, yet he wont play them together.
Miller and Isgrove went on a two week boot camp 4 weeks ago......no sign of them yet.
Played most of the Orient game without a forward.....Delfounso injured and no forward on the bench.
Crellin would have had no complaints if he had got sent off in the first min at Orient, we would then have been down to 10 men with no substitute keeper...........Some rank bad errors Evatt doing week on week.....yet i still back him to get it right,
