Everyone else seems to have their own thread so thought we deserved one too.

After seeing our 2 recent friendlies - i know they dont account for much - im a little concerned we are going to struggle this year. A lack of pace, a lack of nouse infront of goal and questionable quality off the bench have all been apparent.

I dont like to judge off pre season, and we have got two or 3 strikers who didnt play yesterday but with kelly having so many doubters already for various reasons he needs to hit the ground running, and i just cant see it happening.

There are positives. We look to play a posession game, one where we dominated large chunks of a game against blackburn yesterday but we get nowhere going forward. Its just too slow.

Really hope im wrong but think we will struggle this year down at the wrong end.

The ground is looking excellent though and its a strange boundary park this year with the change around with the dugouts and the away end.

I think the new stand and Winchester/Kelly/Forte apparently staying will give you a boost, but can't see you finishing above mid table with the manager you've got.

I think Oldham will be in a relegation battle along with us, but will have enough to stay up.

I reckon Oldham will be strong contenders go down this season. I don't buy into this WABLO shite but at the end of the day over half the league could realistically go down and no one is invincible.

Still don't understand how this Kelly got the job. Staying up will be a success as per usual.

New stand opening, bit of a good feeling round the club, kept the nucleus of a decent set of players (so far). Then pissed on all our chips by appointing some no mark with the same qualifications as my mate down at Heyside.

I have a terrible feeling after Dickov and Johnson this will be one inexperienced cheap option of a manager too far.

Im never usually the pessimist but i am very doubtful going into this season. There just seems so very little we can pin our hopes on.

Midfield and keepers we are looking ok, maybe need a touch more depth in midfield but defence and attack are weak at best.

In defence, for me only mills and wilson are good enough. The others wouldnt make it into many teams at this level. As for attack we are pinning our hopes on a crock and about six other strikers who cant hit a barn door.

Its all part of the shite running of the football club.

The official line is there was a six week delay in getting the electricity on the grid but with recent goings on and more stuff coming to light its becoming increasingly likely this board knows more than it is letting on.

Fans are starting to vent their anger towards them. Especially corney, the owner and barry owen the mouth piece.

Lots of rumours going round the club is on the verge of being sold and that it involves going into admin. Im not well up like some on the business side of footy so cant really explain it like others could but regardless, this board is coming to the end of its tenure and for me it cant come soon enough.

Given the choice between admin and the current board i seriously dont know which i would choose at this moment in time

Admin is convenient timing when the stand is due to be finished and bills to be paid? Hope thats not the case for the football club, town or local businesses!!

The board are a shower of shite. Incompetent from top to bottom, I don't care what the excuses are. We have had 18 months to build this stand. FC united built a whole new stadium quicker.

Still think Oldham have been a bit hasty sacking Kelly, our board and a certain section of our fans would give Steve Davis the freedom of Crewe, a ten year contract with a huge wage rise and a Bugatti Veyron if we won one game.

Been announced yesterday the new stand will be open for the sheff utd game on 17th october.

This will just be the concourse not the entire stand
