So, what does the new year herald? New hope? Or the same miserable shite as the last few months? Loan and transfer window opens, so chance for teams to strengthen their squads, or lose key players.

Coventry H - Loss. Got a good record against Coventry at Gresty Road and they are stuttering a bit at the moment. However, I expect them to get a win here. We are woeful and can't be shit sides, got no hope against one of the better ones.

Swindon A - Loss. Urgh, another heavy defeat incoming. I'll be happy if we keep it under 3.

Wigan H - Loss. Wigan have got the strength in depth to win this one and they probably will, giving them 3 wins from 3 against us this season.

Bury A - Loss. Leon and Tom, fill your boots.

Milwall A - Draw. End the month on a high. Not sure why, but we might(big might) get a point here.

So yeah, I genuinely can't see us getting more than a point and thats me being optimistic. But, given how shit league one is, I suppose we might shithouse out a couple of wins. Yey.

Think this is the pivotal month in the season for us. A chance for Kevin Keen to bring in a couple of faces and start moulding the side how he wants it. We're already looking a bit tighter at the back so hopefully he can continue with that. Games against Oldham, Fleetwood, Scunthorpe and Chesterfield should be an opportunity to start putting some points onto the board.

Oldham (A) - Draw
Charlton (H) - Loss
Sheffield United (H) - Loss
Fleetwood (H) - Win
Scunthorpe (A) - Draw
Chesterfield (H) - Win

After all the struggles of recent years, this is the one season I think we should be struggling in the least. There's a lot of reason to be optimistic if Keen can start to get it right so I hope he has a couple of good additions up his sleeve.

Coventry H - Lose. Not Steve's fault, he only picks the team.

Swindon A - Lose. Not Steve's fault, it was the referee. Again!

Wigan H - Lose. Not Steve's fault, the fans were on the players backs at 0-3. They aren't real fans anyway.

Bury A - Lose. Not Steve's fault, it was just bad luck that Bury scored three more than us. We are the unluckiest side in the country.

Milwall A - Win. Did you see that formation change Steve Davis made? And that substitution in the 60th minute by Steve Davis that changed the game? And Steve Davis barking orders from the technical area? Or hear about how Steve Davis worked all week on the tactics on the training ground? Fucking genius that guy.

If SOD insists on changing a winning formation to a naff one, leaving Henry and Bradshaw on the bench and completely nullifying Sawyers - then my predictions of a very, very, very hard month are looking likely to be correct.

We will do well to come out the month with more than a small handful of points, unfortunately. Some tough away games. WE MUST win at home.

8 or so games in the month too. Our players looked knackered today.

Got the first three right, then wanted 4 points and only got 3 from the last couple of games. Not a great month, but we're still second.

Not sure how, but we got 3 when I genuinely only saw 1.
