I haven't seen him play so I can't comment on how well he has or hasn't fitted in, but I would imagine this is a loan with a view to a permanent move, given our teeny tiny squad size.

Or perhaps it's just a cunning plan for Banton to arrive at the training ground, kidnap Sir Rakish, and scarper back darn sarf with League 2's hottest property wrapped in a cloak of invisibility, so he can play for WWFC and confuse the hell out of the crowd, whilst neatly getting around the awkward FA rules about fielding kidnapped players.

"Who's that invisibly skinning an entire team like a lower-league Ronaldo? It's almost like...like...Rakish Bingham...but it can't be...he mysteriously disappeared...didn't he?"

Watch this space.

Must mean that Ainsworth has lined up a loan coming in to replace him, as our squad is so small and with 3 players out injured we can't manage to loan a player out without a replacement

Well like I say I haven't seen him (I have only made it to one game so far this season, where he didn't play, and he's had limited game time generally) but reports have been not great. Sounds like the typical lower league winger, all pace, no end product.

But that obviously comes with a big caveat of being total hearsay.

Players that were signed mainly off the back of scoring a wonder goal against us (v Plymouth in the playoffs) generally tend not to do that well here.

Again total speculation but Banton came with a reputation of having a bit of an attitude, and Ainsworth will not tolerate that kind of malarkey - mind you I can't see Ronnie putting up with a big-time charlie for long either.

So basically everything I've said should be taken with a massive pinch of salt but there you have it.

Hartlepool will be his 9th club and he's only 22 which should tell you something about his attitude,i think Ainsworth has given up on him,he asked to go out on loan because he wasn't getting in the team even though we've only got 15 fit players at the moment.

Compton played one good game in six....which is better than kudos will ever do ....it really can't be hard to find someone to kick a ball about to their ability level once a week

so how's Banton doing, pool people? I hear not only are his buttocks are no stranger to your subs bench, but big Ronnie's so impressed with him that he's just gone and signed another winger. Hmm.

We allowed him to play for Hartlepool in The FA Cup which says it all for me, looks like he'll be looking for another club when his 3 months loan ends.

that, or he'll sit out his contract with us and be a waste of a wage.

Is it the rule that Hartlepool signings get their own threads?

Yes.

As regards Banton, I can't see Ronnie or Sam taking any lip off him and if he's got attitude it'll be sharp slapped out of him.

Another baffling signing by Ronnie in truth. Banton apparently signed because he wanted more game time. We have no out and out wingers in our team, so you would think he would slot straight into the team.. No, he has sat on the bench every game so far. Even Kudus got picked ahead of him.

He does bring some pace to our team mind, and he always drives forward. Despite not being seemingly brilliant at taking a man on, I think he will be useful for us. Any player who can make a defence drop 10 yards every time they pick up the ball will get the thumbs up from me. It's a long time since we had anyone like that. Oh, and he is the first player in about 10 years we have had who can put a decent corner in.

I think we should go back to the short corner ...I'm sure that lead to at least 3 goals in the 15 years when we took no other type ....also , anyone who misses us kick off ill tell you what happens ,.you get a throw near your right corner flag .....Every single time !!!

I'm sure there was an ex prem league player (possibly Robbie Savage?) who made a lot of money from betting on the time of the first throw in. They wrote it in a book of some sort, pretty sure it was Savage. He would simply bet on the first throw in to be in the first minute or something, then he would kick it straight out of play.

It's a shame the bookies don't offer this market anymore, it would be the surest bet you could place on a Saturday.

Although I did notice that the ball was passed back to the new lad at the start of the second half against Cheltenham (rather than Harrison). He obviously hasn't got the throw in memo yet, and we actually kept possession for a few passes.

Matt Le Tissier was the one who admitted it, ironically in a match against Wimbledon. We and others were allegedly at it all the time back then, and not just throw-ins. I do need to emphasise though that Messrs Fashanu, Segers and Grobbelaar were cleared of all criminal charges. Grobbelaar in fact won a libel case on a technicality against the scurrilous allegations, and was awarded the sum of £1 in damages to reflect the damage to his good name.

It was indeed Matt Le Tiisser.

It does make me wonder if we're betting on ourselves to be wank. 80% wank 1/5. Easy money. :conf:

Hartlepool have sent him back to Wycombe after a month into a 3 month loan, apparently "It hasn't worked out for him" according to a Hartlepool source  I did warn you about him,now we have to find another club willing to take him which will be his 10th club at the age of 22.

Who knows what the situation really is, but if it's just that he's a c0ck who thinks the sun shines out of his backside without the talent to back it up, we'd do best to get rid quick smart. The new Leon Knight?

I can see why Wycombe let Ronnie have a go , Ronnie will have seen them all in his time , If he's gone back early that's the end of him , no one else at this level will have the time , money or patience to take him on when hundreds are desperate for a chance to impress
