Why did Sheridan even go to Newport?

He's been rumoured to be leaving the place since about a week before he signed a contract there.

100% right. We knew he was likely to go in the summer anyway but the manner of his departure leaves a nasty taste. Just a few days earlier, he said all his focus was on our key games with York and Dagenham. Then he is pictured at a Costa's in Oldham Tesco with their chairman! Just hope that we can regroup, use the loan window effectively and ensure that there are at least two teams below us.

They lost 3 and drew 1 in December...so obviously not that hard to beat. He did a good job, can't fault that but they're never going to be anything other than relegation battlers with that squad. It doesn't really matter if Oldham do get relegated, he'll still be in a better position with them in the summer.

Warren fecking Feeney is the new Newport manager, blimey. Never pictured him as a leader. Mind you after watching him play I found it hard to picture him as a professional footballer either and he somehow made a career out of it.
