Still plenty of football to be played, but who do you think will be joining the league for next season? Chesterfield and Carlisle are nigh on certainties, but who's coming with them? More to the point, who do you want to come with them?

After our last three games collecting 1 point from 9 and totally ballsing up a decent position, I'm fairly confident we'll still be here to greet whoever does join. Looking at it from a Geographical standout it could be absolutely disgusting if we end up getting Carlisle, Fleetwood, Vale and someone like Shrewsbury, so fingers crossed a couple of those sort themselves out and let Cambridge and Reading slip down - there is a little gap between the relegation zone and the others now though, so it could just as easily stay as it is.

Would like: Carlisle, Cheltenham, Cambridge, Reading
Expect: Carlisle, Fleetwood, Vale, Cheltenham

Coming up with Chesterfield is pretty much anyone's guess, then all beat each other and no-one is in scintillating form. Barnet and Bromley have been 2nd and 3rd for a long time now so you'd argue one of them deserve it most, but realistically I think it's anyone down to 9th to get into the play-offs and on the day anyone can nick it as Grimsby did a couple of years back. So that's one of Barnet, Bromley, Solihull, Aldershot, Gateshead, Altrincham, Oldham and Halifax. Would quite like it to be Halifax oddly considering it's a distance, but it's a club we haven't played in a long old time and the ground isn't bad. Gateshead is an absolute no, Oldham haven't served enough NL time yet, Barnet and Aldershot have had their chances and never really do anything in L2, Bromley and Solihull are too dull for words and Alty would be yet another Manc club in this league which frankly we could do without.

Would like: Chesterfield, Halifax
Expect: Chesterfield, Barnet

Really don't have much preference of the clubs down in League One at the moment. I've not been to Port Vale for years I would like to play them, although we do often seem to avoid each other so if they go down it means we may have a good chance of going up.

I'd love to see Altrincham come up with Chesterfield. But my prediction is Bromley.

More southern clubs. Our closest away day this season is 60 miles in AFC Wimbledon (only Colchester have it worse in that regard). So Cambridge and Reading please from L1 and Barnet from the NL.

Would love to see Halifax promoted. They'd probably do the double over us but imagine the attendance figures.

Don't really care who comes down from League One. Faint hopes of Carlisle getting a double relegation.

I just want them to go down and us to go up so their fans will have a season long meltdown on BBC local radio and "X" because they're a league below us....

With Chesterfield I'd like Oldham. Proper sized team. and I like their flat cap chairman. Of the others I'd be happy seeing Altrincham (good club and I never tire if the 'Other Phil Parkinson' jokes) or Halifax (good away day, bonkers online fans)

Down with the Carlisle I'd be happy with Fleetwood and Cheltenham/Cambridge . I'm hoping we go up and would be nice to renew our old rivalries with the Slops and Port Vale.

Then if we were to stay down I'd like: Carlisle, Fleetwood, Port Vale, Shrewsbury/Burton

If we were to go up, then I'd still want Ve to down just for giggles, but I'd prefer Shrewsbury, Burton and maybe Fleetwood to stay up ahead of the likes of Cheltenham and Cambridge.

For the first and only time ever I’d like Gateshead but purely for the fact it’s a 15 minute metro ride away. Apart from them probably Halifax or Oldham.

Got a mate who lives in Cheltenham so would be happy with them and Vale is easy enough to get to if I visit back home. This is all on the proviso that we do stay up!

Coming down Fleetwood and or Burton, grounds I've not done, but not too far geographically and Vale who have a decent fanbase.

Promoted, Chesterfield inevitable. On geography, Alty, Halifax or Oldham in that order, but if it is to be a southern team would opt for Barnet as we keep avoiding each other.

Why are Stevenage even on the “possible” odds list when they have 62 points? I know Steve Evans has form for brown envelopes and that, is there a rumour going round he’s done it again?
Stevenage, Northampton, Wigan is quite a three to include.

And Carlisle have the same odds of staying up as Cheltenham, which is magnificent.

Uhh Christ somethings just dawned on me, we’re gonna have the Port Vale and Carlisle fans back in here next season. :eye:
Suddenly possible relegation to the Conference doesn’t seem quite so bad.

Who knows if we'll be here or not, but I'd definitely prefer Altrincham to come up rather than Bromley or bloody Barnet (or Solihull Moors). They was robbed all those years ago, too..... Would be happy to see Aldershot return to the league, too, that's a properly characterful ground they have.

Port Vale will keep you updated on how Pompey are doing in the Championship, and you'll have missed Carver.

On the plus side you might get us or Cheltenham and we're both a sound bunch of c***. Every cloud, I guess...

If you go down you've got the Woking fans and that nutter from Halifax to deal with. It isn't safe anywhere.

Fuck it just liquidate us.
Whichever division we are in next season, still up for grabs, I would really rather we didn't have to play against Halifax. They absolutely hate us, possibly due to fall out from a game against them a few years back when we had three players sent off (two after the final whistle) one for kicking a ball into the crowd in response to the type of abuse that was sadly all too common back in the 70's but is largely now absent from the game.

There wouldn't be a meltdown.
Radio Cumbria try to create a rivalry, and there's half a dozen fans wind each other up on Twitter.
In reality, there's 80 miles distance between the two towns with crap transport links, and the vast majority of Carlisle and Barrow fans don't give a toss about the other club.
We didn't play each other for 50 years, Radio Cumbria are desperate to build a rivalry just to get more people phoning their show up.

Exactly this.....it’s not a local match in any shape or form.......I was in the army with predominately fellow lads from Carlisle for a decade.....never was a verbal rivalry.

I know I’m in a minority of one, but I would like to see Bromley come up.
15 minutes door to door for me.
We have enough long, depressing trips to far flung, long forgotten northern outposts as it is.

Bromley is as depressing as it gets.

Give me Bradford, Barrow or Accrington over suburbia any day.
