I see that Kaid Mohamed has signed on non contract terms for Accrington. Is this allowed as he was playing for Port Talbot as recently as September?

As this is in a different FIFA jurisdiction how come he can move clubs outside the transfer window or is this allowed if he was also on non contract terms?

Even odder Mohamed was quoted as saying I have not played since I got injured at Northampton - which is clearly not right either!

I always thought the rule was free agent can only sign if they were not contracted at 31/8/2015.

Mohamed has played for Port Talbot after this! I also remember reading the AFCW programme about the pain they had signing a player from a Welsh club as it had to go through FIFA!

Our lad is 17, so we had to get child protection clearance from FIFA. We've signed another player from Cardiff recently, and his clearance came through very quickly.

From football-league site.

Surely to play after 31/8 - KM must have been registered with Port Talbot?

41.6.3 ‘Unemployed Player’ shall mean any Player who:

  • (a) has not at any time been registered with:
  • (i) a Member Club;
  • (ii) a club that is participating in The Football Conference (National Division) or The Premier League; and/or
  • (iii) any other association football club in a country other than England, or
  • (b) if he has been registered with any of the clubs listed in paragraph (a) above, his registration has expired or was cancelled at any time prior to the end of a Transfer Window and he has not since been registered with any such club.

I hope for accys sake he is ineligible. He's got talent but the poor bloke isn't fit enough to play league football. Both in the sense that he gets lots of injuries and that he hasn't got the physical fitness to last a full game in professional football.

Most Welsh Premier teams are part time contracts so i'm not sure if that would have any bearing on such rules?

Jeez i didn,t expect this garbage blast from the past to still be playing the game for a living. Surprised not gone to Sligo Rovers with Micky Adams, possibly one of worst signings in last 10 years at Vale, thats saying something given some of the turds we have signed.
