Thought I'd get a thread running for tomorrow's 1st Round League Cup games.

We are home to Yeovil, won't be going and I'd expect a few changes. Hope we win though, be nice to get another Premier League team at home in the later rounds.

Away to Newport, already announced our team. Apart from Lee Nicholls, Scott Wootton and George Williams every other player is 16/17/18.

We're playing Pompey, imagine Willis, Jones, Ricketts and maybe Gadzhev will all be rested.

Lump on Pompey.

We're back at Southend so it'll probably be a 0-0 what with us playing each other last weekend.

Don't really care about the result, but obviously it's a chance for players to get match fit.

Away to Peterborough. We (Wimbledon as was) have history with Peterborough in this tournament, I was one of of a 1700ish crowd at Selhurst back in 1991(?) when they knocked us out. We were in the top flight, they were a couple of leagues below (I think). Peter Withe (spit) was our manager at the time.

Anyway, Rumbelows were the sponsors at the time. Little did I know that I'd meet and marry a Rumbelow (distant relative of the founders) a few years later.

Oh, this is our 6th season in the football league in our current incarnation. We've never got past the 1st round. Get rid of the bloody seeding.

Away to Barnsley. Normally have a good record of knocking out higher sides In this competition but have a feeling we will lose this one comfortably.

Will probably lose against QPR, won't be overly fussed as long as it isn't 4 or 5.

Away at Accrington, we might be able to fill our bench this time but only just, too many injuries or lack of fitness to rotate, can see a 1-0 defeat

Away at Cheltenham, not usually fussed about this but I don't particularly want to be going into Saturday's game off the back of 2 defeats with a losing mentality already setting in. Need to pick up some sort of positive result. It's quite conceivable that we're going to lose though.

Away to Burton. Depending on what team they put out we'll probably lose tbh.

We play Notts County who are one of our bogey teams, let's hope we can actually beat them.

Agreed. More focused on the cricket tonight in any case.

Carlisle away, tricky tie, had a great night at WBA in the second round last year (lost on pens) and beat Burnley at home so would like a repeat.

Want us to win but unsure how seriously Bruno will take this.

Home to Leeds tomorrow who lost 3 nil on Sunday. Possible cup upset?

Would it be an upset, though?

Home to the Spireites. Could go either way.

I expect a.few changes for Dale, with Calvin Andrew, Donal McDermott, Sanmi Odelusi, Scott Tanser, youngster Aaron Morley and returnee Joe Thompson all possibilities to come in.

Both teams played reasonably well on Saturday by all accounts, but where Chesterfield got a good point at Oxford we got caught late on by Posh. I'm expecting a reaction, and hopefully a win.

Whitney ringing the changes for our home game against Yeovil.

I'd expect only 3 or 4 first teamers to stay in the team with the rest being rotated, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us struggle against Yeovil a little bit tonight.

Scrap that, we can only name 5 subs including 3 first year pro's in the squad. Could really do with some more players.

Four changes which may go against us may go for us. Forrester in for Cicilia is a decent move mind.

Taking over 1600 to Blackpool tonight, apparently, they had only sold 500 tickets for the home sections as of saturday

Dack and Ehmer off injured. We've got calamitous luck with injuries at the moment.

And yet another Nelson fuck up puts us a goal behind. I don't buy all this kissing-the-badge, "England's No.1" bullshit, he's started making mistakes with worrying regularity and we've got him on a new two year deal. One more bollock and I'd chuck Hadler in to make Nelson buck his ideas up.

Only 8305 here despite it being free for season ticket holders must admit I can see why people don't bother
