League One Fantasy Football

Just gauging interest here, I'm thinking of running one.


The simple way I'm looking at is based on Lg1, you sign a defence and keeper then 6 outfield players, if your attackers out score what the defence concede you get a win, if its all square you draw etc.

The budget is 20m and in the August window you can make unlimited transfers but then you can't make anymore til January.

Points are accumulated by the goals scored by the 6 outfield players v the goals your defence and keeper concede.

3pts for a win
1pt for a draw

Maximum of 2 players from a club with defence/keeper counting as 1 player (ie you could have Wednesday defence but not Bannan and Gregory)

Though i dont think you have given it much thought....ie how are you going to value the players

I'm not valuing every player, there will 5 players from each club to choose from for your outfield six. Your defence and goalkeeper come as a unit from the same club, given how miserly Ipswich were last season they are in the £10m bracket for example.

Scott Twine gone to Burnley....yep you are quite correct

You valued our defence at £9.5m, did you see what our defence was like last season? The only real changes from last season to it so far is Luke McNally sold and Stuart Findlay in. Our team approach was to try to outscore the opposition.

Going off the title I thought this was a thread for Devon Lad's opinions.

I'm running it on our forum so adding a few more to it won't be any hardship.

20m budget, 1 defence/gk and 6 outfield players, max 2 players per club with the defence/gk counting as 1.

Simple concept, if your 6 score more than the defence concede you win, if both are same you get the draw and if you concede more than scored you lose.

GD will decide positions and if needed GS next.

International weeks will be void if any fixtures are postponed as I can't be waiting weeks for the fixtures to be played.
